Petopia Corrections - Current Patch Only

That particular spawn no longer exists after Cataclysm. That was the original Shadra spawn, but the quest was updated and she now uses the Zarakh model, which is what she's listed under on Petopia.

I'm not sure what happened to previously tamed Shadras (if they switched models as well or if they were grandfathered).

Thank you, I realized she's a different model now when I went to tame her

Edit: Shadril, an Untameable spider added in 4.0, is not listed under the jungle skin.

Rek'tor, an (I assume) untameable Raptor added in 4.0, is not listed under the Black Spiked Raptor skin.

and Vakkiz the Windrager, the summoned Wind Serpent that turns from a beast into a different undead model, is not listed under the Red Spiked Wind Serpent skin.

Hive'Zara Tail Lashers are a tameable brown scorpid (http://www.wow-petopia.com/look/scorpionskinbeige.html) in AQ20/10. No more needing to go through the orc lands to get one! ... you just need to go through 3/4 of AQ20.

You have Rek'tor listed under Vakkiz. ^^;

After almost an hour of attempts and several pots and food used the Flesh Eating Worm

Spawned by killing the Rotted One (undead) yes are seemingly still tamable BUT you need to have a lot, and I do mean a lot of haste to complete the tame as the worm dies within 6-7 seconds of spawning. Few hit right at the 8 second mark. They're also extremely tiny upon spawning. Not immune to frost traps but seem to die faster. Strongly required haste being high enough to pull of the tame in 5 - 6 seconds.
It would really really help to have that in the "notes" on this skin that the death timer on these is 6-7 seconds from spawning.

The Cadaverous Worm (same white skin) spawned in Dire Maul by killing a Rotting Highborne (undead) WILL die in 30 seconds or less tamed or not. So the tamed pet will need to be revived. These to can be frost trapped for taming. So it would help in the "notes" area on these guys to that warns the worm will die regardless in 30 seconds or less.

The white fen strider model is listed as unused. But Marticar, the rare spawn in Zangermarsh uses that model

This is for current (live) patch info, not Beta info.

the info about the white fen strider is part of the beta info, which is has not been updated as of yet due to Mania recovering.

The fen strider info on the petopia site is for BETA info, and at the time, Marticar was no-longer white, and the skin was missing from game, and added in later as one of the Hunter tracking pets. The info on the site for BETA tamable pets is based on BETA info, not live info

I know it can be a bit confusing.
Once fen striders are tamable on live, then any mistakes can be pointed out here. But since BETA info is changing a lot, its to much to keep the info completely up-to-date, on top of Mania's health and recovery.

As for the " This look is not currently used on any creature in our database." that does not mean WoW Data base, it refers to Tamable pets or beasts/creatures that share a look or similar look with a tamable creature that Petopia lists. Petopia is Not a beastuary for Wow.

I think everything up to this point (errata and additions only) is now corrected and should appear on Petopia as soon as it's updated for 5.0.4.

The site hasn't updated yet

I did add a comment to that effect to the database so it will appear. But I just realized there are two ids for that rhino and I may or may not have added it to the correct one. Do you know which id., or both, do it?

The main site should be updated now. I had to fiddle the database quite a bit so I know there are many things I missed. The pet corrections listed here should be in, as Wain mentioned, but I know that some of the guide text is out of date and I suspect that a goodly chunk of the new pet skill descriptions are as well. I hope to have those updated later today ... after I take a short nap.

Then it's on to Warcraft Mounts.

Edit: And somewhere in there I need to straighten out the forums since half the MoP stuff is now live.
