[13202] New spirit beast: Ghostcrawler!

Greetings again all

I was able to tame Ghostcrawler last night at about 10 PM server on Lost Isles and was surprised there were no other hunters in the area looking for him as well.

He was very easy to tame. I laid down my freezing trap, took two steps back and hit tame beast. No problem there. But he did do some rather significant damage while I was taming him by throwing something *still unsure what it was exactly before he turned into a block of ice. By the time my tame was done, my health was down nearly by 50% and that is a lot when your health is 80K, lol

Thanks again to all the advice that was given to me by fellow hunters/Petopians Wrathar and Damnhunter.

Just seeing that name on a NPC, I would have the bad habit of wanting to kill it. But since its a SB tame first.

Going to wager that was his "nerfbat" ability. Seriously, check the combat log. :lol:

WoWhead just updated with Beta build 13221, showing a Spirit Beast Crab!
sadly i'm not in the beta- anywho is can check if this is Ghostcrawlers true skin?

Pretty nifty looking! I knew the original was just a placeholder.

While it's a very awesome looking pet, not quite something that I would want.

I do hope we'll get some more unique Spirit Beast models instead of just a regular beast with a shiny effect added. Those are cool looking, but I'd rather see some new models.

ok when i looked at ghostcrawler on wowhead it wont show me what it really looks like. all i see is the "see through" thing shape of a crab is tht rlly it or is my computer just being a pain and cant see the real image of ghostcrawler?

If anyone can't see him, here's some screenshots:

The model's very shiny when you see it in motion, the light constantly plays off it. It's beautiful, but I'm just a little underwhelmed by the 'slap an effect on it' Spirit Beasts.

I really like it! And Veph, at least the effect-SBs means we don't have to get another Loque. I'm just so damn happy there isn't another vomitface-starvingkitty-stupidspot-uglypaw model.

Definitely not tameable until Cataclysm because it's located in Vashj'ir. x)

Neither is tameable!

The whelp wouldn't be and the spirit crab is 1) located in a Cataclysm only zone and 2) is level 85!
