I really... REALLY hope this deters people from killing GC. Paired with no rare drops and hopefully they excluded tameable rares from the rare spawn achievement, we might actually save people weeks/months of camping for their beloved pet. /fingerscrossed. And as someone said in an earlier thread, we might actually see people in /1 with "Any hunters looking to tame Terrorpene/Ghostcrawler?". Ahhhh one can only dream...

I'm afraid that people will always kill rares just for the feeling of... killing a rare. The more "cilvilized" part of WoW community might actually ask for hunters wanting to tame 'em, but the majority won't...

People would have to make raid groups to face the Nerfbat.

Why can I see that coming.. a raid to kill him.
But hey this may help us be able to tame him! Someone tries to kill it before you he gets smacked by a bat... he dies.. you ice trap.. tame and then /dance. FEAR THE NERFBAT. Now if only King krush had it... that guy gets ganked too much.. his life spawn is never very long is it?

I honestly doubt that GC can be killed, even with a 40 man raid. Reason is that Nerfbat has unlimited range, is instant cast, and has no cooldown. Pair that with him having 1.5 million HP too.

Edit: Forgot to add that Nerfbat reduces both the damage you do and the healing you receive by 20% per stack, so at 4 stacks it's 80% less damage and healing. Ouch!

Time to petition for all tamable rare spawns to receive the nerfbat ability. ^_^ BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

That would never happen, because it would be unfair and mean to the rest of the playerbase.

Am I the only one wondering if it would be possible to kite GC to a large city? *shifty look*

His Nerf-bat clearly has to only apply to people on his threat list, otherwise it would be open for griefing the entire continent. That limitation on the other hand should mean that with enough people lined up it might be possible to do a "relay kite" by sacrificing players along the way... I can just see multitudes on hunters in Orgrimmar or Stormwind trying desperately to hold aggro long enough to tame!
