How do you get on the top of Banthy's tree? (GOT HIM!!)

Title says it all.. can't seem to stop there without falling.

fly above (backpedalling to get precise movements makes it a lil easier) and the hold X. if you stop but LOOK as if your still flying dismount and TADA. if you went to the side of the tree. fly up, move according to where you went down (flew down too far to the right? move left a lil and try again) Rinse and Repeat

Very, very carefully....
I hover over it on my smallest mount and put my camera up in a bird's eye view, then try to center myself on the tip. Then I use X to go straight down. If I stop moving, then I'm on top of the branch and I can land.

GOT him!!!!!!

Thanks for the tip on using x to move down, that got me to the top of the tree. I was just about to go into a troll with a guildee, but we were waiting for the healer, and BAM... went NPCscan...

While I was working on doing that, Anhka popped on NPCscan as well, but never found her, don't know if someone else had already tamed and was showing off, or if someone else got her while I was getting Banthy.
