Pounce?

So, I was playing on the PTR for the first time today.
Helping my brother get Loque'nahak.
This alli Hunter kept flying around and to deter her from the area, I pulled out my own Loque.
(I had copied my main over.)
I decided to send mine around to kill the nearby cats and shocking to me
Loque stopped, did a claw attack, then pounced over to it.
The kind of pounce it originally did as an NPC.

Is this a bug?
I really hope it's not.

On the ptr today hunter pets have been bugged. My deth'tilac was 1 shotting bosses in dungeons lol.
I believe pets for some reason are keeping abilities they have in the wild. Idr if Loque had some pounce type thing but that could explain it.

I believe the original four spirit beasts all pounce when engaged. It would be cool to let them keep that, even if it was just a visual.

Yea when you aggro Loque in the wild he pounces on you using the druid cat's feral charge action but he loses that when tamed, this bug is awesome for some pets where its simply aethetic appeal like Loques pounce but bad for fairness when it comes to pets like Deth

Oh yeah deff. When I noticed my doom spider was 1shotting things I put her away.
There were groups for DS on the ptr specifically looking for hunters with pets like Deth and Ghostcrawler for the bug though.

Oh my god, this is awesome. I'm not going to use it in a group setting, but for fun I went into a few instances and raids on the PTR by myself and Sabbath is using Deth Strike! :lol:

Ghost crawler is so awesome lol I did Heroic Culling of Stratholme for a friend in under 15 mins because of nerfbat smacking everything within the instance CRAB BATTLE

wonder if this is happening because blizz is messing with pet coding...perhaps we may get hydras this patch after all. i have my hunter parked in zangarmarsh and each build i check the hydras there....beasts with diets but not tameable

I will be kind of sad cause Pounce is so neat looking.
It's not like it does extra damage so why shouldn't we get to keep it?
I really miss Spirit Strike. That move was so pretty.

LOL Deth Strike. That's epic.

I wish the PTR would make up its mind on when to restart, sheesh.

I would personally just like Pounce for Cats/Cat models in place of charge, IMO. It could work the same only with a dif. animation.

This appears to be fixed... well, at least I couldn't replicate it. Tried Deth, Kirix, and Skarr, neither did their NPC abilities.

Maybe if they are tamed on the PTR? /shrug

I have a feeling they might have hotfixed it earlier during server restarts. Hee, was fun while it lasted. xD

Ok, it would be kind of neat if some of the pet got their old wild abilities back. Too bad I didnt know my prettyful Tainted had her death strike back, that would have been fun....and trouble <.< >.> hee hee hee
