I am constantly checking the tank to make sure he hasn't gone belly up from all the stress! He mostly hides among the plants now and rarely swims to the upper portion of the tank unless he is eating. I feel terrible for Squish and I am hoping he'll become braver and less stressed over time.
It's hilarious to see Porsche batting her paws at my Mystery Snail, Pebbles, though. As soon as her paw hits the glass Pebbles retreats to his shell then slowly peeks back out ... I've actually watched my kitten waiting for just the right moment when Pebbles feels secure enough to start moving again to decide to hit the glass again ... she is relentless
She gets all excited too if he happens to lose his grip on the glass and glide down to the bottom of the tank ... almost seems as though she's made a sort of game out of the whole affair!
