Varethyn's Mount Journal [Target: Dailies]

Hey all. Reading all of the mount journals here has inspired me to make my own. Since I've been the silent witness and not posted in your journals, let me say a quick good luck to all of you!

Currently I'm sitting on 117 mounts and camping for TLPD. I'd been interested for some time in him and Aeonaxx but never had the patience to all-out camp either of them. Since finding a TLPD corpse about 3 weeks ago searching for Skoll for a guildie changed that. So far I've been camping for about a week and have only seen one Vyragosa. For the most part I camp at the Frozen Lake spawn point but have been chased off a few times by an Alliance guild and had to wait at the Waterfall instead. To my knowledge there are at least 3 other campers that visit - all Alliance, one of which is rude as heck. Here's hoping TLPD will spawn soon enough.

I learned that the last mob I needed for Ready for Raiding II, and subsequently Master of the Molten Flow, was up today, so I'd gone to nab that quickly. I shouldn't be surprised, but by the time I got back to Storm Peaks even with the engi wormhole generator Frozen Lake, Waterfall and Brunnhilde Village were all taken. By people from the same Alliance guild. It's annoying but at least Ulduar Ravine is free.

Woo, never noticed this. But good luck! I never had good luck with TLPD myself, though as I plan to camp him soon, I hope that changes. xD
Also, wow, 117 mounts? Nice!

Nothing new to report yet, though there was a humorous moment during a failed MF raid last night. We were one person short (DPS of all things!) so we cleared the trash and then messed about in front of Raggy. The odd thing was he only showed up on screen for one person, and our healer was adamant that the boss was bugged and leapt into the lava pit to prove it... and started the encounter thus wiping the raid :lol:

Back at Ulduar Ravine now. I'll probably check out Skyrim or watch Jesse Cox play Skyrim while I'm waiting. Or read Zelda manga.

Unbelievable. As I was booking tickets to visit my mum for Christmas lookit who spawned on top of me the moment I pressed "buy"! xD

A little over a week of on-and-off camping and with three other campers no less. Normally I have terrible luck with rare mounts *looks at Poseidus.* Taking a break to get some non-camp mounts then I'll go after Aeonaxx!

Thanks everyone, I seriously wasn't expecting it to spawn for me so quickly. Something else I found out was that it had spawned 8 hours before mine, one hour before I'd logged on, and with no record of a Vyra in between. Well, off to go farm fish, dungeons and dailies for some other mounts, then camp for Aeo. In the meantime... *tosses left-over luck at everyone*.

In fact I just earned the Argent Hippogryph at last, which leaves the Orgrimmar Wolf, Darkspear Raptor and Forsaken Warhorse to get from the Argent Tourney. No luck with anything else yet sadly.

I had a weird dream last night. I was flying around in a place that looks like Deepholm (purple with crystals etc). After a flap about I'd dived down a hole into a large cave which looks as Deepholm is in-game, only much bigger and without the temple in the middle. Suddenly NPC_Scan goes off for Aeonaxx, but the portrait shows a purple stone drake mount. I'd clicked the target button and lo, it comes up... except he has no dragon of any kind around the portrait. Not seeing him I'd flown around for a few laps of the area until I looked at the button again; instead of "click to target" it said "Aeonaxx is nibbling on your FEET." O_o
Anyway, I look down and sure enough there's a tiny purple stone drake - definitely drake, not whelp - hanging off of my sock with its teeth. I have no idea why I wasn't wearing boots. I lean down and scoop it up and it automatically became a mini-pet, following me everywhere. Bewildered I'd tried typing in guild chat, except there was some kind of error with the chat where everything I saw was gibberish and anything I said came out as gibberish to everyone else. Shortly after I got another error as something large appeared nearby, looked up to see the real Aeonaxx and that an undead warlock had got there first. I'd tried typing again but still gibberish, so I went to relog.
Next thing I know, I'm in Stormwind with a bunch of my friends and guildies and all of us were wearing sprite darter costumes. Mini-Aeo was still with me of course. We started flying around in Stormwind pestering the Alliance when suddenly the costumes fell off. My friends all ran away and I turned into a sandstone drake, only to find a male worgen leaping on my back. So I performed a few loops and flew upside-down for a while as I do when someone decides to ride me until he got of, emoted /bye and flew away... on a Raven Lord. I later found my friends in what I believe was the Mage Quarter where they've found a crashed Jeep of all things. They got in while I held onto the back and we drove off into the countryside...

I'm very confused but now I want to start my Aeonaxx camp :lol:

I haven't forgotten about this, but due to various distractions such as Christmas, being ill, visiting my mum and general lack of motivation I simply haven't been up to much. Thankfully I can update now, with my newly-acquired Drake of the West Wind and Swift Forest Strider mounts. These two bring me up to 122 mounts total

When I feel a bit better I'll get on my Aeonaxx camp. In the meantime I'll attempt mount runs for Rivendare's Deathcharger, Vitreous Stone Drake and Drake of the North Wind and of course openeing eggs and doing the dailies for the Spectral Wolf and Tourney Mounts.
