yea after finding out that noooooo one had heard of it before and that it wasnt in the database for the pharmacists or vets made me really uneasy. While our usual vet charges more for his services, he's reliable and his clinic is just 10min of travel in a car away from us (taking into account traffic and the busy intersection we have to pass) unlike the other guy who is about half hour-45min of travel, not including traffic which can be extremely finicky and we have to travel over a toll bridge which costs us about $20 for a to-and-back trip over the bridge and probably another $20 of fuel. All in all its worth the higher prices no matter how you look at it. We spend what we were going to spend with mr. jerkwad but we get reliable service and we dont waste our entire day driving around and waiting in the office

Yeah, sounds like a much better deal to me. If the costs are the same, going for the one that offers the best service sounds smart.

Thank ya <3333 i totally knew it, the second i met her she was totally the one. She's cost us over $400 for her adoption, medication, toys/scratching post, external treatment systems (humidifier), check ups, and we still gotta pay for her check up on monday, and then her spaying in May which is crippling us but both stepdad and i wont give her up for anything, shes staying put here at home and not back at petcetra, the adoption agency, or someone elses home. We've put too much money and love into her to stop now <3

Beautiful cat, but can I recommend that you steer clear of Petcetera? Horrible store that is notorious for abuse and neglect. The few times that I've HAD to go in there, all I see is inproperly housed, skin-and-bone reptiles with mite infested tanks :c

Yea we stopped going to Petcetra after dealing with them. TBH they were having some extroardinary deals on things like the scratching post, we got a $150 post for $60 when we adopted her, as well as her toys (didnt need much else since we had food/water dishes and a litterbox already) but we gradually transitioned her to a food thats just as healthy as the food she was eating (Royal Canin, we cant afford $30 for only 16 cups, thats retarded!) and its only $10 at the Superstore XD She eats it perfectly fine so we hit a huge win situation there. We have pleeenty of pet supplies stores around, so we really have no need for that place anymore ^^

Im sad tho to hear the neglect tho.. they dont have many animals at the one we have, just a few rabbits, lotta fish and birds, rats and mice and in the back is where adoption agencies place their animals to help advertize them for adoption. I didnt peruse the birds and fish but the rats, mice, and adoption pets looked healthy and happy. They even are using the bedding that im using for my rat for theirs. Its pretty much processed paper pellets treated with baking soda for odour control.

Also, lol, the humidifier was so powerful cause i had to add salt to help jumpstart it, the instrutions called for some salt added to the water for the first use if it didnt start steaming after 10min and it just went wiiiild. Its on again right now, water was changed and its a lot more mellow. Janie slept through the night, i slept through the night which im so friggin thankful for XD. Janie is still sneezing here and there, its most prominent if the humidifier hasnt been on for a while (i got up a couple times during the night to plug it in, but i crashed in bed right after so it didnt affect my sleep thankfully.. tho.. i dreamed of zombie grey persian kittens with these huge blue eyes that staaaaared into your souuuul...) and i woke up about half hour ago to my vet calling to check up on Janie, we (vet and i on the phone) decided not to take her in on monday and just see how she fares now since the humidifier is doing wonders and while i do want to take her in, im only gonna barely afford the last thousand i owe for my course and cause febuary is a screwed up month, stepdad wont get his 2nd cheque to pay the rent until march so he has to find some work asap to pay that bill before the end of the month and i'll probably have to help pitch in so we can keep the house.

XD Soon after i took that she began to tear the corner of one of the pages my teacher gave me. Tore the bottom corner where the hole punch was so i had to tape it back together so it wouldnt tear completely in my book. She loves biting the flaps on cardboard boxes and ripping paper up ive started to notice lol

She's a terror lately XD She'll jump from my hope chest against the back of my chair and then bounce off that to the seat of the chair and jump onto the floor, run through the halls, run back into my room, jump back onto the bed, and stretch out like nothing happened. Shes been doing it for a few days now XD Shes had sooo much energy since we got the humidifier. Problem is her coughing and sneezing fits have returned, called the vet and we have an appointment today at 4 (the 2:30 was taken up since i cancelled thinking that all she was having was some built up mucus and that the humidifier would kick it).

Its definitely tho mucus thats causing it, you can hear her breathe when she has been super active and it kinda gurgles and she'll randomly start a fit of either sneezing or coughing or both one after the other so theres something thats causing the over-production of mucus and i wanna know how to stop it so we can get back to normal

.. LOL she jumped on the bed with a white pom pom in mouth, she rolled around with it, she fell on the floor and rolled around with it, and then, with it in mouth, jumped back onto the bed and skyrocketed into the hallway just as i finished what i wanted to type XD

.. she's running non-stop, she scaled the back of my chair, using me as a support, then she jumped onto the bed, skyrocketed into the hallway, skyrocketed onto my bed, shot back into the hallway.. shes going nuuuts!

i tried to get her in her crazy running around but she calmed down as soon as she saw me outside of the bedroom and pranced behind me back to the bedroom and i got a vidoe of her playing with a shoelace but thats about it xD
