Pet skins that are still untameable

That #1 bear is the Amani bear, isn't it?

Recognized the brown. <3

The eye colors on some of those mounts are just gorgeous. A lot of the regular bear models don't have eyes that are quite as attractive.

Yes, it's the "black" Amani bear

The brown Amani bear actually uses the regular dark brown bear skin.

I like his colouring, too, though I think he looks a bit wooden. Not enough contrast, perhaps. I don't think they made him thinking he'd appear naked like this.

My favourites are actually #2 and #3.

#3 is the Big Battle Bear (TCG mount) skin that I made and posted a regular skin from over in the skin mash-ups thread.

#2 is a very pretty brown that as far as I can tell has never been used but is on the same model as the Big Battle Bear.

I agree #4 is just nightmare inducing. ._. Those eyes...

However, I adore the glowy eyes of the final three, I'd love to see a tameable bear with that sort of eye.

Agreed #4... Ugh... Perhaps because it looks so...human? The last three are very lovely though <3 the glazy eyes.

I've nothing really to add to this wonderful thread.
But if you don't mind I want to post my gratitude or thanks to Wain.

Wain, you have done and still doing ofc a absolutely great job !
I for one didn't even know so many variations existed , but then again I don't use any modelviewer.

Anyway, I think I speak for all members/viewers of this forum when I say:
Thank you very very much for the comprehensive and precise information, much appreciated !
Also input/thoughts from others in this thread is greatly appreciated of course !

I just love the tigerskinruby (WMV) .. when I first saw this in the very first post, I immediately said "Wow!".
But it is understandable such a skin won't be available or maybe in the future.. but still a very nice skin.

I have high hopes it will be one day! My favourites are actually the blue and turquoise gem ones. I really do hope they all make it in. They would have been perfect as rares for Deepholm too. And pets of Earthen hunters, like that one in Storm Peaks. At least the black one is tameable, so there's a precedent, and from the MoP trailer we can guess the jade one will be available too.

And thanks for posting... you reminded me I'd forgotten to update the thread for 4.3. From memory there are two new looks available (now removed from list):
- TigerSkinSnow on hunched/gem model
- TigerSkinWhite on hunched/gem model

No problem and thanks to you I know more about the various variations of pet skins ! I love it, but you have to read this thread completely to appreciate it. I have read all the 17 pages tbh. not all at once, but I did read them.

Yes, the Outland grubs are a bit fancier

They also used them as sea cucumbers in Cata as well, and (apart from the lack of feathering on the mouth parts) they're not far off!

And Gorm is right.. I better not piss off the caterpillars. They're large and hungry. And Eric Carle showed just what one of them can do. There should be a parody of The Very Hungry Caterpillar with WoW characters with holes eaten through their hearts and heads and stuff
