It works, Sha aura effect pet
I tamed 4 sha aura effect pets by the kill revive method.
I like the Sha effect crocodile so much, it is smoking from its eyes, so cool.

Do these keep the effect after being killed?
Re: It works, Sha aura effect pet
No. Actually, I didn't try, but I don't think so. The effect should gone after being killed.Lampray wrote:Do these keep the effect after being killed?

What is this "kill-revive" method? Do tell, as I'd like to tame a shadowcat before this is fixed!

I thought it WAS fixed for the US/EU server? I'm.. confused. It's the same old method used to tame the old pets with effects on them, the one that was suppose to have been fixed? Atleast it was fixed for the pets it was being used for, I thought.

Tame finish, kill, revive all at the same time.

Well done!
So three things need to be done all at once for the tame to succeed? Any tips for helping others to pull off this method, since you clearly have a handle on it?

I'm confused. How does one pull that off? The Tame kill res?
Res isn't instant..

You start the revive cast as the pet is successfully tamed and killed. All three happen at the same time.Bowno wrote:I'm confused. How does one pull that off? The Tame kill res?

Sorry if I sound dumb xD I just want to make sure I have this right.
1.) Lower beasts health
2.) Tame
3.) Have friend finish beast off RIGHT as tame ends?
4.) The second tame ends, cast res
Is this about right?

Re: It works, Sha aura effect pet
I think I tamed the oil stained wolf with this method (I think!). It was before the macro was out for the special effect pets. I'm testing this now on the Sha cats, but what I remember doing was lowering the mobs health, applying serpent sting, and at a certain percentage of the health (or tick of the dot), I would start casting the tame. If the timing is exact, the pet dies right as the tame finishes. Then revive right away to keep the effect.
I'm getting the mobs to 1-4% right now before taming (or just outright killing them), so I can't confirm if this is how it's done!
Edit: Basically what you said, Bowno, this way is just on your own.

basiclly right, you can start to continue pressing the revive button 3 or 4 seconds before tame finish. higher chance to successful.Bowno wrote:Kalliope wrote:You start the revive cast as the pet is successfully tamed and killed. Re: It works, Sha aura effect pet
Been trying this for days and I have a few questions for Asajiro:
I noticed in all of the screencaptures you have on no armor and are not showing the actual pets and their info. Could you take screenshot of your pets while you have focus on them to see their level and buffs?
Also, I notice I can't view your character on the armory, but last I'm showing you're a level 85. Where did you find a level 85 sha-touched crane to tame, as well as a sha-touch Croc, and scorpid?
Thanx!

Re: It works, Sha aura effect pet
asajiro can you confirm if the pet loses the buff forever on death and revive quite a few of us would like to tame it seems but would prob want it only if it lasts through death.
Re: It works, Sha aura effect pet
because all pets are black and i'm a white tauren, so i think that's better performance. it is no buff on my pet. i will post another screen shot.Poearia wrote:Been trying this for days and I have a few questions for Asajiro:
