I have to agree. Dire horns are exciting, as well. They're so cute with their size when tamed. Atleast I see them as cute, not sure about others.

Oh yes, that's something else I'll be trying to capture in the dire horn video. Definitely be sure to look for that. :D

Has anyone seen Kroshik up lately? I keep visiting him to grab footage, but he's never around. Considering his really short respawn timer before, I'm wondering what's going on with him. Am I just getting unlucky?

EDIT: Just found him.....I guess he was the one who got unlucky......

Image

This is a far cry from the saurok kneeling before him. :( (It's hard to tell, but they're pulling chunks of meat out of him and throwing them through the air.) At least he's being honored in death....

Image

This is one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen in this game, even more disturbing because he was walking around just fine before. :/ Sorry to be the bearer of bad news if anyone had their heart set on him.

(Totally unrelated note, but the buff on the priest is Power Word: Dinosaur, which does the same thing as fortitude. My priest needs this very badly.)

I am hoping that he's tied to a daily somehow and that he'll still be alive on some days, but I haven't heard anything to that effect. If anyone has any information, please let us know!

> You find Kroshiks' unmoving body upon on what seems like a crude Saurok altar.
> Without needing much further investigation you understand the magnificent beast to have passed away in some primal ritual to gain power.
> Taking pity on the death of this beast, you say a short /prayer before turning away.
> Just as you turn, the air starts to get foggy all around you.
> You ready your weapon as you start making out a silhouette of a creature inside the fogginess.
> The fog seems to condense towards the silhouette and begin glowing faintly.
> Once the air clears, an awe aspiring view is found right before you: Kroshiks' spirit seems to have passed back into the world of the living.
> Swiftly you concentrate on studying the now spirit like beast while it eyes you seemingly with consideration.
> You learn the spirit is hungry for vengeance and after deeming you worthy, offers you his companionship in exchange for the lives of the Saurok.

Ahaha. Sorry! I've been in a roleplay-mood recently and this immediately popped into my head when I saw the screenshots. Wouldn't that be an excellent excuse to implement a spirit beast devilsaur though? Come on Blizzard, get on with it!

Better question: Why is your pet a cockroach? Are they tamable? Is it a glitch? All these questions must be answered!

While you are in saurok-form your pet transforms as well. I once had my pet turn into another saurok. :)

You know, I think that's rather cool. Don't get me wrong, it's creepy and macabre, but well done :)

@Wain: It really is! I was just surprised and saddened since there had clearly been a good amount of work put into his pathing before, especially with the kneeling buff.

I'll be doing a bonus video on all the pet appearances in that area. :D I haven't gotten the saurok myself yet; hopefully I'll get lucky.

They couldn't be part of different phases or dailies they're testing could they? Maybe the pathing will still be used when he's alive? Just wondering.

That's what I'm hoping we can confirm (and ultimately why I posted here). :) I'm not sure which it is, though. :/

if he didn't use the newer devilsaur skin and that happens as part of the progressive story of the island then i would say after a certain point he could have become a 4th spirit beast by way of a recolor of the solid model or even the cool camo-effect devilsaurs summoned by the saurok buff. who knows maybe noah could suggest this to the developers.

i will go ahead and apologize for the double post but i just had a revelation. All the dinosaurs on The Isle of the Thunder King came from either Zandalar Isle or the isle of giants right? and on the isle of giants every devilsaur family has 2 parents and a bunch of babies....except the white. I believe our deceased friend Kroshik may have a widow and some children who will never see their father again. I...I just cant see the white devilsaurs on the isle of giants the same way ever again...forget the blue devilsaur i might get a white one!

I just tamed Degu (for a bit of fun since I wont be taming any of the new SB's on Live) and I noticed that when tamed, none of the Ferocity, Tenacity or Cunning abilities appear in his SpellBook page. No matter what spec is chosen, none of the respective abilities (Heart of the Phoenix, Last Stand etc) are available in the SpellBook. None of my other pets have this issue, including new ones that I tamed on PTR. Has anyone else noticed this?

EDIT: Have tried re-logging and changing between BM and SV specs but issue persists.
