Re: Legion cooking...
The ones Nomi doesn't teach:
Suramar Surf and Turf: Kill Crabs in Suramar for Recipe: Surf and deer in Suramar for Recipe: Turf. Combine them for the recipe.
Barracuda Mrglgagh: Quest reward in Highmountain. Quest: Murlocs: The Next Generation.
Leybecue Ribs: Drops off Myonix in Suramar.
Drogbar-style Salmon: World drop off Drogbar.
Koi-Scented Stormray: Sold by the Innkeeper of Jandvik after you've cleared the Jandvik questline.
Bear Tartare: Drops off the rare Mordvigbjorn in Stormheim
Deep-Fried Mossgill: Quest reward in Bradensbrook, Val'sharah Quest: Shriek No More
Faronaar Fizz: Quest reward in Aszuna. Quest: Magister of Mixology
Fighter Chow: Quest reward in Azsuna from the pit fighting area. Quest: Morale Booster
Pickled Stormray: Quest reward in Stormheim. Quest: A Heavy Burden
Salt and Pepper Shank: Quest reward in Highmountain. Quest: I'm Not Lion
Spiced Rib Roast: Quest reward in Stormheim. Quest: Time to Collect.
I know many of these are the 6 needed to unlock Nomi's work orders...I just wanted to be thorough. The first 5 are the +300 stat foods.
All the delicacies and feasts and the Bacon recipe require Nomi work orders as well as all rank ups

Re: Legion cooking...
While on the subject of recipes that may not be obvious how to get...here's some for Engineers:
The Felic: Drops off either final boss of 'new' Violet Hold
The Shockinator: World drop off storm drakes in Stormheim
Leystone Buoy: World drop off Gilgoblins in Azsuna
Reaves Module: Wormhole Generator: Fished from Black Barracuda schools.
I know its not related to cooking in any way shape or form....I just wanted to be helpful a bit more

That's awesome, thanks Magnakilro! As both an engineer and a chef, I appreciate this very much.

Re: Legion cooking...
To reduce the chance at getting duplicate recipes, stagger the test ingredients. eg: do 1-2 of eggs, and then 1-2 of leyblood, and then 1-2 of something else, etc. If you need to go back to something you've done before, then space it out, so if you return to the kitchen before the later ingredients are tested, you won't get duplicates. Also, don't queue an ingredient that doesn't have an eligible recipe for you to learn or upgrade (through the test kitchen).

Re: Legion cooking...

If love is an illusion to hell with reality
Re: Legion cooking...
Thanks Magna! I just saw your recipe source post. Very handy : )
And Xota seems to have the right idea. To maximise your chances you really have to look at what's possible to still learn (remembering you can't learn stage 2 if you dont already have stage 1) and not stack it all on a couple of ingredients. Still, having a trained chef burn so much stuff seems like really poor theming to me. They should have just had him churn out white food as the failed item. Something that is edible but not great, maybe heal you for a little but not a new development and nothing that gives stats.
Unless he has some kind of scorched earth policy on his food and is deliberately burning all his failures! o.O

Maybe he's aspiring to be the next Ragnaros? Or maybe he's only using cooking utensils made only by the fine goblin engineers at the Venture Company?Wain wrote:Thanks Magna! I just saw your recipe source post. Very handy : )

Makes me think of Acme Corporation when you put it that way. Everything is set to fail. You're probably right though, he's using some kinda Venture Co. spatula or whatever.Sigrah wrote: Maybe he's aspiring to be the next Ragnaros? Re: Legion cooking...
I know! He learned about flambe while we were off in Draenor, but didn't quite understand the concept.
Re: Legion cooking...
He's used to using a steamer, and all they have in Dalaran is a deep-fryer. Actually in real life, I tend to burn things on an electric stove, because I'm used to a gas stove. So it didn't strike me as unusual.
Looks and smells like you could probably eat it.
If you spend at least 10 seconds eating, you will become Adequately Fed and sprint for a short time in 10 minutes.

Re: Legion cooking...
My wife was cooking dinner tonight and she accidentally burned it, and out of nowhere, I blurted out "looks like you Nomi'd it". I'll be sleeping on the couch tonight...
