No, you just go to the Stable Master at Trueshot Lodge and purchase the ptr tome from her. They'll be removing automatic flying this coming Tuesday and thus will require you to earn the Pathfinder achieves to get it.

Weird cause while I was there on the PTR they didn't have anything to sell me.Valnaaros wrote:No, you just go to the Stable Master at Trueshot Lodge and purchase the ptr tome from her. I believe you have to complete the mount questline in order for it to become available, now that I think about it.

Oh ok thank you for the answer I will try again after maxing out Titanstrike maybe then that wolf spirit will die quicker.Valnaaros wrote:I believe you have to complete the mount questline in order for it to become available, now that I think about it.

How many have seen the Pridewing Patriarch? I've never once seen it on in all the times I've checked. I'm thinking it has a long respawn time.

I haven't see it since precata. I'm not sure if it's even still in game, honestly.Wain wrote:How many have seen the Pridewing Patriarch? I've never once seen it on in all the times I've checked. I'm thinking it has a long respawn time.

It was rediscovered a week or so ago with Heartrazor's skin.

Re: New family : Feathermanes
I went out there on the PTR again and it wasn't there. I waited for about 10 minutes. I got bored and started killing other wyverns and it spawned quickly. Could be a complete coincidence, but certainly seemed odd.
Re: New family : Feathermanes
Thanks for checking. . That's interesting. I'll try killing stuff. I tend to be too much "look and don't touch"

It turns out I didn't need to. The PP was there when I logged back in. So either I was unlucky before or you were on Anasterian and your clearing is responsible for him being up.

Re: New family : Feathermanes
I left him up on Anasterian when he spawned, but regardless glad you got him!
Re: New family : Feathermanes
Ah it was probably you then. I'll try the killing trick later, as it'd be nice to confirm if this is the method.

One step ahead of you lol I killed about 15 or so and he respawned. Since he uses his old NPCID, I wonder if this is some residual mechanic?Wain wrote:Ah it was probably you then. I'll try the killing trick later, as it'd be nice to confirm if this is the method.
Edit: Tamed him again, killed 5 wyverns and 3 consorts, spawned again.

I wonder if any other rares are using this mechanic... like maybe the fel hippogryph (Elisande's Pet) appears after you attack or kill certain Nightborne NPCs :/

Re: New family : Feathermanes
I was just typing that up Wain xD Was going to say it makes me wonder if spectral gryphon, raptor or Lalathin has a similar mechanic.
I gave up hunting days ago though... because after spending hours every day it got pretty demoralizing not finding a single thing. I planned on just waiting till live to do more if they still weren't found... because I can't even find any pointers in the database. Must have checked every inch of Suramar on foot and in the air, with spectral sight even. Same goes for Gorgrond, Un'goro, barrens...
But if we need to kill things to get a spawn, or even a dropped item then it could explain why.
... Or it's still just stealthed in some super random and annoying place. Which is such a lame and boring mechanic honestly.

Re: New family : Feathermanes
Well I thought killing the mobs around the outside of the nighthold (the part we can fly to now) would be a good place to start, but everything I engaged hit for 700k so that was a no go.

There's a bunch of nightborne spirits on broken shore too, but I did kill a couple and didn't get anything.

Yeah I know, but who knows if killing something somewhere drops or spawns something. Almost everything on the broken isles is part of one WQ or another lol.
