Gon Search Idea
Heya there! I've been lurking these forums for ages, and wanted to put in my idea about where this spirit might be.
There's a children's Animation about a dinosaur called Gon, who tends to go between many different climates/areas. From the Antarctic to the Savannah. I'm wondering if there might be a link here further then names.
Anyway first post here and well totally awkward on forums. ^^''''' it's just something I thought of while helping out my family.

Re: Gon Search Idea
That sounds like an interesting idea!
With that said though, he would still have to be spawned somehow, because we've gone through the entire world looking. :/

Re: Gon Search Idea
That is interesting. I hadn't heard of Gon outside of WoW. I'll have to look it up now and see if there might be any other clues. Thanks

Re: Gon Search Idea
I think Gon also made a guest appearance in at least one of the Tekken(?) fighting games. Maybe check around the fighting rings?

Re: Gon Search Idea
Possibly. Another thing I remember seeing was that Gon enjoyed eating red berries of some sort...I think. Honestly I haven't seen too much of the series myself.

Re: Gon Search Idea
The only thing I know about Gon is from here:
Gon (Video Game)
I'd never read the manga, so I hadn't remembered it at all.

Re: Gon Search Idea
I don't think they would put Gon in Legion content if it like Lightning Paw since many still can't fly yet there and they probably want hunters to get it soon also if like Lightning it could be hiding in plain sight just need to be in right area.

Re: Gon Search Idea
They easily could. You need flying to (easily) get Netherbeak, but he is still there. Of course, I don't think Gon is on the Broken Isles, but I'm just saying.

Re: Gon Search Idea
I was racking my brain earlier today trying to think where could he be and places that came to mind are the Barrens, Dustwallow, Nagrand in both Outland and the train wreck, Blades Edge in Outland, Stranglethorn Vale, and Un'Goro are ones that came to mind since they all have raptors running around.
I had an idea of parking my hunter in Trueshot and watching who comes in since only hunters are allowed there.
I found the NPC Scan number on Wowhead and entered it into both NPC Scan and Silverdragon when I did Silverdragon recognized it as Gon and looking at it on Wowhead it looks to be a WOD raptor model leading me to think might be there.

Re: Gon Search Idea
Been searching various areas like Ungoro, both Barrens , a bit of Stranglethorn and even Sholazar Basin.
Haven't tried Isle of Giants yet but it's highly likely they'd stick Gon there.
I wonder if Gon's story has some clues blizz could've used.

Re: Gon Search Idea
Gon's story(ies) was completely done without words. It's possible there's something in there they could use, but at the same time, it's a manga done without the use of words. So one would have to look at the pictures rather than words written.
Even the game had little to no text.

Re: Gon Search Idea
Thus far, all of the locations in thus thread have been searched thoroughly by myself and others during the ptr and Live. We didn't find anything during our searches, but we can confirm with 99.9% certainty that Gon, Lalathin, and the Gryphon cannot be found with targetting macros.
Of course, if anyone wants to search those areas, by all means. I'm just saying that they have been looked at multiple times.

Re: Gon Search Idea
Maybe he's by a certain area with food laying around? Notice he eats cherry/berries.
Only place I can think of is Nagrand

Re: Gon Search Idea
Where can I find anything on Gon? How do we even know about it? I want to keep an eye out when hunting for the spectral gryphon. Are we sure it's a spirit beast?
Managed to find it on wowhead

Re: Gon Search Idea
Anyone try Kunlai Summit? I mean there Kafa berries were red if I remember correctly.
Re: Gon Search Idea
Ignore what I said here, someone in the Lost Spec Gryphon thread mentioned spectral eggs that maybe linked to Gon :ODiago wrote:Maybe he's by a certain area with food laying around? Notice he eats cherry/berries.

Re: Gon Search Idea
With the Gryphon found with a click summon trigger, Then that egg might just have to be Gons. I'll go check out troll and other Dino places

Re: Gon Search Idea
Yeah, I'm searching the Echo Isles now because it feels like it would be perfect, there's the raptor island, baby raptors, corrupted raptors, and even raptor bones and eggs literally the place, but so far no luck.
