I don't know about anyone else, but I was tired of not having a convenient reference for which weapons every class could use/collect at a glance, so I made my own graph.

Why is the meme "Every weapon is a Hunter weapon!"? It should be "Every weapon is a Warrior weapon!"

Right?? I didn't realize until I made this how many things warriors can use! I used to think hunters were the prime one as well.Rawr wrote:Why is the meme "Every weapon is a Hunter weapon!"? It should be "Every weapon is a Warrior weapon!"

Re: Transmog reference - weapon types by class
This is the very reason I usually gear my warrior for mog runs. Unlock all* the weapons!
*pfft who needs glaives and wands
Also look at all those classes that use fist weapons
Also concerning the hunter weapons thing, I think it was due to the fact back then hunters used those as stat sticks. However warriors lost too much in attack speed and weapon damage to be too greedy. Hunters didnt care though, they just wanted those sweet stats

Re: Transmog reference - weapon types by class
Hope you don't mind, but I took the graph and rearranged it so I could nerd out a bit with numbers and what not.
The more I look at it, the more it seems so many of these restricts seem arbitrary. Yeah I get why hunters can't use shields or why rogues stick to 1 handed types. I can see why a mage doesn't lug around a 2 handed axe.
However a lot just perplex me. Mage can use a 1H sword when a priest can't while a priest can hold a 1h mace but a mage can't... yet they both can wield daggers. I've also never understood why hunters can't use maces when they can use all other 2h types. Nor can I understand staves for non-caster Warrior/hunter. I look in vain to find consistent reasoning!
