Cool. They've actually had a better model for years (the chicken mount with the saddle geoset turned off) but never used it.Valnaaros wrote:According to an interview with Jeremy, Chickens will also be getting an updated model.

Hopefully we’ll see new gorillas some time soon, as they sorely need an update. But I suppose they have to focus on what they want to add in KT and Zandalar first. I could see gorillas fitting in Zand.

Edit:
Some other families that need love. Tallstriders, Snakes (more realistic snake friends), rodents (though we got more from Argus recently), Ravagers (need more spiky ones! ), Moths (I want a luna moth), Dinosaurs, hmmm could go for some more insect types too.

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
We don't know if Loque is a Wild God or simply a normal beast that was empowered by Harkoa. Loque is Harkoa's mate, and Harkoa is a Wild God/Loa. Due to the fact that Loque never, ever speaks to us to anything, unlike Harkoa, then he is probably just a normal beast. In regards to Spirit Beasts in general, they all vary so greatly that you cannot apply a single rule that applies to them all.
Raptors are a debated subject. There are raptors that show intelligence, and then there are those that aren't. Even for those that are intelligent, it isn't entirely clear if they are sapient or just very smart.
Yetis are sapient and fully capable of speaking languages like Common (the Northrend variety, anyway). Besides, they've been labeled as Humanoids since Vanilla.

WerebearGuy wrote:To counter that point, do remember that at least the following are also intelligent enough to be as sapient as us; owlcats, wind riders, spirit beasts (specifically Loque, who is related to Harkoa), various raptors, and almost definitely more. A smart animal is still an animal, and Hunters are pretty much masters of animals that aren't Druids in disguise (though we should be able to tame druids, come on Blizz).
Oh, you already can. It's called marriage.

I'm all for more things being tamable, but I am not going to ignore the lore just for that to happen. Yetis have shown in general to be as intelligent as a normal race, and that is because they are race. Of course you can befriend one, but that is akin to befriending a normal race. If you can tame a Yetis, why not a Gnoll? A Tortollon? A feral Worgen?
