The new hippogryph and forsaken mounts make me wonder if these will be tied into the burning of Teldrassil and the invasion of Undercity. The forsaken bat is noted to be 'one of the few to have escaped' Undercity, so it makes sense that the hippogryphs might follow suit, what with their home going up in flames and all :)

Makes me wish I played alliance with more regularity tbh, that hippogryph mount has some gorgeous colours on it

Most likely! Probably a pre-launch event reward :)

The new Darkhound mount will be the Alliance counterpart to the Vicious Clefthoof mount.

Today's Alpha build had this icon datamined. It looks like a possible Vicious mount

Update: definately is

It just me or that look... very alliance? The lion head on the side points towards that, but... not sure why it would be alliance? Unless it's like the foxes and horde get one too it just sn't implemented yet.

Probably that. Either there is a Horde version or Blizz is going to give them something else (which doesn't make a lot of sense since there are Hippos on Zandalar and not Kul Tiras).

It is a pvp mount. So most likely a horde version with different armor will come.

I swear every time I see this thing, and now especially seeing it in action, I have this instant visceral reaction. Core Hounds are supposed to be big and bulky and strong and this... this thing is so nimble and lithe and wrong, it feels wrong. My heart is over here like...

 In all seriousness, I do like its mountspecial. Looks like its on that new hyena animations? I thought it was cat animations at first, but no head turning when idle. Not sure how I feel about the gallop yet, but I'm sure its a WIP.

Has the same animations/gallop as the Hyenas and the new Darkhounds.

I genuinely dislike the thin Core Hound. It just looks so bad, especially with the hyena animations. This is one mount that I won't ride, since I have a REAL Core Hound mount. I hope they add another way to get the Core Hound from that MC event again for others who weren't lucky enough to get it.

There is: the Black Market Auction House. I highly doubt Blizz will add an easier way to get it unless they bring back the MC event.

I like the mount special, and kinda the run cycle but dammit am I tired of that skeleton. Why is no creature allowed to have their paws approximately straights? I like the model, when it was in T pose and with an appearance of longer legs.

[Edit]

Like that. That's a nice standing pose, it look threatening and doggy, and it change from having the exact same thing each time.

These are my feelings exactly. Not sure if I'll ever get used to it honestly, it's just very wrong looking.

I'm glad they've added an alternative run to that skeleton but yeah, I'm getting real bored of it still. :/ All of these creatures end up feeling the same because of how similar their builds are.

Just the old one looks so dumb to me XD Of course props to anyone who likes it of course.

I like it too. Like they would be war dogs used by armies of the elemental plane of fire. The two headed giant corehouds would be more like Hannibal's elephants. These are more like core-dobermanns than corehounds.

Have to say that I am loving the new core hound mount-which is sad because that means I have to make a dark iron dwarf that I don't plan on leveling, oh well.

I really like the one headed model overall. Nice alternative to the big guys for those of us who want something a little more compact.

Ha! Thats a great comparison.

It is interesting to see other types of a family. Maybe we can dream of an HD or 1 headed Kurken and Chrommagus!

The Goblin head mount will be made by Engineers.

The Mecha-Mogul Mk2

The Mecha-Mogul Mk1 created by Mogul Razdunk is currently the top of the line in goblin head flying technology. The Mk2 is a slight variation on the design with a focus on personal transportation over mining and defense. It also fixes an embarrassing security flaw in the Mk1.
