Beta Hunter Guild
I was invited to Beta yesterday and wanted to know if there is any Hunter only guilds? Otherwise would like to start one so we can share information and work together. Already discussed this on wow forums https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20764076222 but wanted to ask other hunters too.
Re: Beta Hunter Guild
I'm eager to test out the new "communities" feature, with the view of setting up an official Petopia community once BfA goes live. But I don't think it's active yet, is it?

Re: Beta Hunter Guild
They haven't started yet, and a Community would be better than a guild since, if I'm correct, it can be both Horde and Alliance.

Wonder if this would work cross server too? Could create a Petopia community for live.

If Blizz's plans remain unchanged, then they will be cross server.

Re: Beta Hunter Guild
Last week's alpha build added new assets to the game that are highly expected by many: in-game community assets! As previewed during BlizzCon, starting in Battle for Azeroth, WoW will support both same realm and cross realm communities, as an extension of the guild system. Your first community, when the system launches, will be your guild at the time.
This system will allow you to have broader communication options with fellow community members, including multiple text channels, text channel history, simple role management, quick join, voice integration, roster listing and calendar invites. You will be able to be part of multiple communities at the same time, in addition to your current guild. http://www.wowhead.com/news=283627/batt ... ommunities

Re: Beta Hunter Guild
Sounds as if you start with your own guild them beach out to other guilds. So maybe we can create two guilds for alliance and horde then connect them and then branch out to other beta servers.

Re: Beta Hunter Guild
Communities do not have to be connected to a guild, according to the article. They can be their own seperate thing.

Re: Beta Hunter Guild
Community on live sounds great. But, what about beta? There’s historically been a Petopia guild on both factions where things like challenge tames & the gara puzzle were collectively worked on. I’m assuming there will be something like that before beta is over.
Or perhaps a discord?

Re: Beta Hunter Guild
A community would probably work better, especially if it is cross faction. Would allow for easier communication.

Re: Beta Hunter Guild
I don’t think communities are going to be cross faction, but we’ll see.

Re: Beta Hunter Guild
Little is known about the feature, but Blizzard have described it as something that allows players to join up with others “who share common interests in persistent cross-realm Communities.” It is designed to allow players to share strategies with members of your class, hang out with auction house successes, talk shop with fellow tailors, and expand your social circles.
Nothing yet about cross fraction, and knowing Blizzard's view on this is Alliance this is Horde they may not let fractions talk.

Re: Beta Hunter Guild
I sounds like they will work much like the Diablo3 communities we've had for a long time.
You still have a Guild with all the same rules as before, and in addition to that you have "Communities" you can join, which are still specific to your character (not account), but are not limited to being in only one and are cross-server.

Re: Beta Hunter Guild
That's all true. However, they are also allowing Btag communities which can function across factions and even across games. Of course, you can't join into a group with the opposite faction, but you can talk to them.
