It looks like Hunters run backwards when strafing on the Beta. There is a video here on Reddit.

I noticed with Animal Companion, when you have a bird as your second pet, it flies lower than your normal one and clips with the ground

It looks like the members of the new families are actually now apart of those families, rather than all of them being in the Wolf family.

If we cannot tame those alpacas there is no justice in this world.

Ok, those alpacas... seriously, not hunter pets... unless their main attack is "Mesmerize with deadly cuteness".
They are totally huggable.

A bit of palindromic wisdom:
"Step on no pets!"
Casual player.. don't raid, don't PvP. Suffer from extreme altitis
I love pets - combat or non.

Due to the change to the Prestige system in the Beta, it is possible that stockpiling honor may not work as we thought it would. Prestige is now Honor Level, and the rewards (including the PvP appearances) have been spread out across the new 500 lvls. The system is still being tweaked and tuned, so it isn't clear how much honor is required for each Honor Level.

Not Hunter related, but Fury Warriors became extremely fun with those new changes. Like, I wanted to main my Hunter since Fury was in a very horrible spot in terms of playstyle, but the changes kept me on my usual Warrior main. They fixed EVERYTHING that was wrong with Fury, except for the whole reliance on endgame gear to be relevant. We won't know if that got fixed until the first raid tier with real characters, but they fixed everything else; I think they'll fix that too.

It looks like the kakapo is a battle pet that can be obtained as a reward from Island Expeditions.

Assuming that Blizz is still aiming for the Pre-Patch to be launched 4-6 weeks prior to BfA's launch, then the earliest possible date is July 3rd, and the latest is July 17th. Blizz has announced that they are ending support for the 32-bit client on July 1st, so it is possible that the Pre-patch will come soon after.

July 3rd was my guess as well, Especially after the July 1st information about 32-bit no longer being supported. But, that is too close to 4th of July for US (and where Blizz HQ obviously is, lol) in my personal opinion. There will be too many people on vacation imo for it to launch July 3rd, or at least in my work experience, since many will take Monday and Tuesday off for a Wednesday holiday lol (or most of the week/entire week if they're lucky, lmao). That said, my guess is July 10th.

Either way, BFA approaches!

edit:
Note I mean that Blizzard employees in regards to people on vacation lol

Given the current state of the Beta, I can't see pre-patch earlier than mid-July.

July 17th is the latest if they want to keep it within the deadline. Bear in mind, Blizz's internal builds are usually a couple or so ahead of what is on the Beta client.

It looks like Blizz will be implementing a change that'll keep the Mage Tower up constantly until Legion is over :)

The Horde and Alliance-themed crabs, Bucketshell and Sir Snips, will be rewards for Honor Level 400.
