There currently are tamable Crawgs and Blood Ticks on the ptr. Can't tame them without the tome. They are listed as Blood Beasts and have the ability Blood Bolt.

No. It may not even be implemented yet. I've done a bit a searching to no avail. Tried killing Crawgs, Blood Trolls, Blood Ticks, and followers of Zul to see if it is a drop. No luck.

I don't recall ever seeing that worm in that form. Every time I've seen it is when it is using the partially-submerged form. Doesn't mean they couldn't add it, though

In m+ on 10s or higher, infested spawns that model. Think mythic ghuun adds use it too.

Ofc neither are good candidates for taming but they do exist.

Wasn't aware of that first one. I knew that Heroic and Mythic G'huun spawned a blood worm, but I thought that it was partially submerged. Might be wrong on that.

The blood wind serpent wouldn't be a bad option either, depending on whether Blood Beasts are just meant to be beasts tied to G'huun or beasts empowered by blood in some way.

Speaking of which, Sangrikass no longer uses the blood wind serpent variant. Now uses the crimson variant.

According to Wowhead, Blood Bolt reduces movement speed by 50% for 6 sec.

Bloodfeasters/Ticks are indeed also tameable. Great.

On that note, since Crawgs and Blood Ticks got a tameability switch, are there any other changes? Like maybe some big ol toads or Isle of Giants skyscreamers?

Nothing else has been changed. Hopefully there'll be something soon since the patch appears to be getting close to completion.

Yeah, I'm starting to get concerned.
If we need to wait for 8.2 to get that second proper taming pass, I'll be incredulous, to be honest.

Probably. Lots of pet-related icons come from weird sources. The new Blood Beast icon is actually a mount one: inv_bloodtrollbeast_mount.

BTW, in the latest build there's been no change to the new tallstrider skins, and the ravens aren't fixed. I checked both.

It's the Ogre Keystone icon, so yes, they're just re-using an archaeology icon.

Still hoping that Abyss Worms will become tameable at some point, too.

Shouldn't be a problem since they aren't water-bound creatures.
