Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
No, I wouldn't want critter sized, I'm thinking more along the lines of the porcupines maybe.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Porcupines are small, but a marsuul is not much smaller, and they’re both still cute which is for some people, but I love something menacing and that’s where the mawrat joins the family for
Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I wouldn't mind them a bit smaller, but I'd personally prefer them a bit bigger than porcupines or marsuul.
I wouldnt mind big, capybrara-sized rodents, too, though

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Yeah, I also prefer the same thing Wain does, I would love to see more from the maw once it opens up, I saw a black phalynx in the maw in a wowhead exploration vid, I hope it ends up being tameable
Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Agreed! I'm hoping phalynxes will be tameable as mechanicals, and I've been recording them, but none are yet.

Yeah, I’m still crossing my fingers for those, they make the mech tigers look bad, even though they’re still a good model, I’m also waiting for a tauralus more than anything in wow

Some new models added in this build
These first ones look rather similar in certain ways to the Windsteed.
Whilst I suppose these could possibly be made into pets, I have my doubts.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I think the bird horses might be the replacement for bastion dream runners, would love them as a pet now, the toad is stunning, and every critter in there is awesome and adorable, I jumped when I first saw those bird horses, they better not replace the windsteed, the probably won’t cuz in wowhead, it says horse bastion
Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I feel like the Owl Horse Stag things might be the replacement for Windsteeds.
As with the model they are based on, probably only a battle pet. But I really hope they and the Maldraxxus bat become tameable. They're so cool, so strange and out there.
Kunchong for hunter pets!
Thanks to Moonlost for the awesome avatar!

As do I, Qraljar. They have similarities in appearance, such as the scales.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I'm glad for the new slots, because I foresee getting multiple feathermanes.
I really love the ...foliage on the toad's back, but less thrilled with the other bits.
I'm hoping for rats in the rodent family--I want one to go with my rat mount!

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Blizz is so stupid, they added the rodent family in legion, and haven’t made rats, and beavers tameable
Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I really hope they let us tame those squirrels in the Rodent Family. They're so cute.
And I need that horse like yesterday.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Yeah, Blizz should of made grubs tameable a while ago too, there’s no reason to leave them out of the worm family, they only let people tame grubs for 1 patch and that’s it, let everyone have one, same with rodents that deserve tameability, anyone with me on this

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I want the bird steed. That had better be a pet and/or mount that's easily obtained, because I really want it.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
OMG how I want the bird steed to be tameable
Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I'm just adding model shots of the new owl-steed to the database.
But I also wanted to post a sample animation of some pretty severe head-clipping issues it has, so I can link to it from my post on the official forum:
