Worgen Hunter in the starting zone

Unread post by Noor »

Total Halibut/Biscuit, my FAVORITESTESTSTS commentator on the whole planet, has released some beta footage on youtube playing as a Worgen Hunter. Now, though he doesn't quite know how to play a hunter, it is interesting to view the changes...

Oh god the pet regen for focus seems abysmal, I'm going to bet that the BM talent, let alone the MM talent becomes STANDARD for most builds :|

The pet is less than 5% for the non-BM builds, so it most likely won't become a standard part in anything but BM, Ryai.

I dunno....

I was playing with a PvE marks build and I discovered that there's no real reason to go more than about five points into survival anymore, since the low tier talents are mostly PvP related. That BM talent could very well become a standard. On the other hand, we KNOW the trees aren't done yet, so it's hard to say anything concrete at this point.

Just watched the video, and wanted to note a few things...first off...I LOVE that you get a longer cloak closer to the beginning, maybe it's just me, but I didn't like those tiny ones you usually get in all the starting zone...next...Steady shot at level 3?! My horde hunter JUST picked that up, and she was level 50! That's a surprise. Health regen as well as little to no down time is certainly awesome, as is the worgen dance...anyone know what that's from?

The worst cloaks are without a doubt those ugly, two part ones. The tiny ones suck too.

Hehe, yeah I always have Show Cloak unchecked until I'm in the much higher levels. Those tiny backwards bib things just don't look good in any situation. x)

I'm surprised the dogs are so big! I wasn't at all interested in one until I saw that its a nice touch. It does make me wonder though if pets still grow as they lvl or if they are max size to start.

Hmm, that's a good point actually. Any sort of guardians in the game right now don't scale of course, and even for the initial taming quests the pets you go out to 'practice' taming on don't shrink. I wonder though if after Level 10 your pet would shrink down to a level 10 size? That mastiff does seem very large compared to what starter pets usually begin as. Or perhaps Blizzard hasn't implemented scaling/sizing yet?

Goin with Evan here, anyone know? It's pretty cool

I also agree that their starting area is pretty neat, lots of phasing, and I like how you get turned during it. I noticed he was running around with a debuff with a pic of sharp teeth and was wonderin if maybe he was already bitten at one point and that's the debuff that says he's slowly turning...

The male worgen dance is Justin Timberlake's "Let Me Talk To You/My Love". Link to the music video is below.

LOL, I actually really like the ones that are parted down the middle. :) And furthermore, I end up not showing long cloaks because I like to see as much of my armor as possible.

Yeah the commentaries are a hoot.
I hope they take his suggestion and fix the voice actress's faux British accent.
