Agreed.
They could nerf it to a 2 minute cooldown and I'd still pick it over the other 2. An interrupt is just necessary.
I'm all for silencing shot becoming baseline (at old cooldown) while its talent spot is replaced by something else. Not everybody has a gorilla on him at all times.

That's another thing. If the reason we don't have a baseline interrupt is because we can run with a pet that has an interrupt (on a comparatively long cooldown), then I'm in favor of stripping those pets of interrupts and giving them other alternatives. Normally I'm in favor of diversity, but if something is breaking the system, then it should go.
There is still hope by using a Gorilla for soloing Pandaren rares also the only time the Pandaren rares cast 2 heals while my silencing shot was when A, I stunned the rare during their heal or B, Stunned them while they were using their aoe attack.
I suggest we should get a polymorph trap to replace silencing shot, and silence shot as baseline skill. We have lost aspect of the fox, so can we get Silence Shot as the 'new' level 82 skill. Agree?

I was about to say, we now don't have a level 83 spell so something could be done about that. (82 is the call pet 5, 83 was aspect of the fox I think)

Not always! Bosses can't be stunned, for example. It's not the same as a real interrupt.
and it's BM only, right?
Correct, so the other two specs are out of luck on that front since their previously unique interrupt/CC effects were made into talents (silencing shot and wyvern sting).
