BM beta spec discussion...

Anyways someone claimed that Cobra Shot, for BM would be doing 27% damage, over 10% of Steady and 6% Cobra shot for SV/MM.

Can anyone confirm this?

Ryai, I can't find anything definitive on it at the moment. I am seeing it listed as .27 or 27% AP, but I can't tell if that's just for BM, or for all three trees. But if it IS .27 for all three trees, then why would anyone use Steady shot on anything that wasn't immune to nature damage?

Great we got borked/short end of the stick if it is this much and isn't penalized for SV or MM :/

From what I've seen of the new hunter talents and skills, MM is going back to where it belongs PvP.

Not really. I expect that it will still be the end game raiding spec, as it has been for the past two expansions. But hey, we'll see.

Mind backing that up? People went marks at the end of BC with Sunwell gear and such, even over BM. Marks is obvious currently.

I was MM trough all of BC, and my career as Hunter in vanilla, and I constantly got shit for it, even during the last stages of BC. It did, however, get slightly better in the end, but it was NOT "THE" spec during any expansion, except for WOTLK.

The difference between specs really only became apparent during WOTLK, they were far more equal in BC.

I guess your results may vary due to server, since the pro-est of the pro were marks at the end on mine.

Actually Sat, Marksman was the spec of choice for all of Vanilla too. I remember being forbidden from going on raids because I was BM, and refused to respec to MM.

Yeah, I kept hearing people all "Ooh, nice MM spec. Change it." tough, so I suppose it's between different servers.

Let's just go with the theory that Blizzard hates/has no damned clue about Beast Mastery.

It isn't just BM that suffers because of that. A lot of classes have very useful 31/51 point talents that they now won't get until AFTER Outland. That there? That's ain't right. Especially when youconsider that ANY 31/51's at ALL are being handed out at level 10.
