What I'm hoping is that this is the 200 achieve mount. The jake kite wasn't very exciting for me compared to when I got the dragon hawk. Plus, where as you saw 1 dragon hawk on day 1 of that patch release, you saw a bunch of jade kites, (I myself sitting on top of 188 mounts).

This has 200 achieve written all over it, an even wih the addition of the other new mounts, it won't be seen everywhere yet.

Well, I'll never ride one or tame one, but it does look epic, if you like bats...

In fact, after seeing the video of the 3 riding models, it makes me think it could very well be the 200 mount achievent and vary for horde/alliance like the red/blue dragon hawks did.

Black/Red=Horde
Dark Blue/Gold=Alliance
Blue/Light Blue= faction rep/tcg/boss drop/other achievement reward.

Well.. My opinion at least.

As someone who only has 125 mounts right now, I would actually love it if these became the 200 mount achievement rewards! The Jade Kite does nothing for me and doesn't make me want to push to 150 at all, I could care less if I had it really. But if the bats become the 200 mount achievement rewards... I would grind my ass off to get there!

I guess you could say this update has made us all....

If those armor-less ones are tameable, bats are going from "won't have" to "must have" These are great. I hear the argument about the wing membranes, and if I think about it too much, it'll bother me. But, they've been getting around with holes and tatters for a while now as it is. I'm guessing they grow them extra tough in Azeroth

((And as for it being to one faction or the other, I wouldnt care if it was a shared one, its beautiful...we can all share ))

Hmm, looking at these, there's 3 regular ones, 2 non-armored mounts and 3 armored mounts...the 5 mounts are almost like a faction thing. These are pretty cool, and definitely a huge improvement to the bat model. I've never liked the model before, but these are very nice (I really do love bats, but the old ones always bugged me).

My troll druid is becoming increasingly jealous of these new bats. The face, wings and texture is much better than my druid form. It even has actual legs instead of just those boxy feet. They even fixed the weird squished back thing that always annoyed me with the old model bat and druid form.

Omg.... a bat mount?!?!?! I can not wait!!! I've been dying for one of these ever since I started playing! I hope it's fairly easy to get.... AH! So excited!

A little bit of a thread Necro, but any word/idea about this mount and how it's obtained, or is it still just...????

I think there's still no information on how to get it. I heard speculation it might be BlizzStore, RAF or Annual Pass 2013 deal.

If it was RAF or Annual Pass, I can't explain how heartbroken I would be. >.<

Tell me about it. I can't RAF due to ridiculous laws in my country, and Annual Pass is not something I'd be willing to engage in for financial reasons.

It's the windsteed all over again...no sign in game of it (at least they had windsteed for testing) and patch is close to hitting.

Apparently there's an "Armored Bloodwing" in the ptr files. It's level 20 and changes based on flying skill or location. That's a sign it's a store mount.


I am betting it will be a new purchasable mount in the blizz store .. they can have $40 for that thing

I doubt it will be RaF. Look how long the Touring Rocket lasted, and we recently went to the Nightwing.

Edit, the fact there are plain mount, armored mount, and then a plain model makes me think itll be in game. The 2 mounts make me think itll be like the grand wyvern and armored version... and the plain models will become mobs. Maybe 5.3 rep rewards for mount like the 5.1 rep gave mounts, and the plain models will be mobs in the new 5.3 area (whatever it ends up being). complete speculation.
