I tried to use these NPC I'ds that are listed here for pets like Skarr http://wow-petopia.com/browse/rare.html in npcscan and you can't the ID shown here is X012, well in NPC scan you can't put letters, and then on wowhead.com its like 50815 which does work with NPC scan
Question is, why petopia showing it differently?
Keep in mind, I know the update already logged them in for hunters, but when I'm doing my dailies on other toons I wanna scan them as well
Why 4.2 NPC ID's don't match Wowhead, and can't be used?

It seems like that page hasn't been updated yet, that 'X012' is definitely just a placeholder.

The NPC IDs are usually in the link box at the top of the screen, if you can't find it on the page. It works fine for me.
Part of Dark Magics, lvl 25 Horde guild, casual, helpful, don't raid, mostly help people and hunt pets.
Part of Dynasty, lvl 25 Alliance guild, casual and hardcore (your choice, no one forces you to raid, but you can), very helpful
Come on over if interested (Runetotem US, Horde name Sarantha, Ally name Ellysetta or Valeraud)
