I love the dark ones with the blue runic markings! Especially that really dark one with the ice blue marks, absolutely beautiful!!

I'm sure that pleasantville or not you would still love to have any color pet you want without blizz having to add 100's of new colors around wow, which I could see not happening straight away over time maybe but that's just dumb if it were my game hell all of you would be spoiled little hunter brats haha

Sorry, my post wasn't very clear. I agree with you, it would be fun to be able to color my own pets. (I just got distracted by the cool idea of a 3-D coloring book/sandbox!)

I know you're a new poster and you were making a joke, but it's not considered respectful here to call other members 'spoiled', 'brats', etc. We try to keep a fun, positive environment.

It's ok, I don't think he said that at all, he said he'd make us spoiled by giving us everything It was all well meaning and I thought it was funny

And yeah new poster but I've technically been playing 8 years so out of all those years I've visited this website about 6 of those 8 :p it took me ages to join haha

Just recently did I really think I should join, so I can state what I think about certain things but I'm never rude to people it can just seem that way to people who don't know me, because I'll use certain faces to express how I feel but people who don't know me wont notice the meaning behind the faces and usually act wrongly towards a friendly post

Oh I didn't use any faces in that post well for future reference then

And yeah i seem to have that affect on people were they dont understand me it happens all the time it's fine

I think these runed demon dogs are my absolute favorite of all your re-colors. They are amazing! The darker bodies with vivid runes looks stunning!

You know wain, you been slackin on this thread, lol, speaking of which I was thinking, what could you manage as far as colorations for various spirit beasts, and I don't remember, but did you mess with gem or cata crabs yet?

Well it's nice you missed me I've been busy doing stuff on the beta lately, but I'd like to get back into it soon. I was thinking of doing some mushan, even though they won't be tameable. Or maybe some water strider colours.

I did make a couple of variants on the gem crab skin when I worked on crabs. See the first page of the thread for an index now

I haven't played with Cata crabs. Sadly WMV fails to render the markings at all, and it's too disappointing to make them without including markings If / when they get that fixed I'd love to work on some.

Absolutely no rush on this, but just now I thought of how cool a mount-model water strider would look with a purple body and bright green butt/eyes/antennae. Think you could give something like that a shot whenever you're doing these again?

That could be fun! I'll see what I can manage

I didn't have a lot of time to play with water striders tonight, but I made a couple of purple body - green glow ones. At least they're a start. Hopefully (Veph) you can tell me how to alter them from there The second one was supposed to be blue and green, but the blue ended up looking more indigo-purple on the model.



I also made a few other colours I thought turned out ok, most of them fairly dark bodied...

Dark blue with orange glow:



Dark blue and dark purple:



Pink:



Plain green:



A couple of peacock iridescent ones with white glows:

Oh I really like the green and the dark blue! Pink is quite lovely as well. So nice to see a few new mash-ups!
