Floating Pets? [IMAGE WARNING]

This is something I recently noticed a while back, but any cat that I tam seems to float above the water.

I have confirmed, on my other Hunter: Wispquill (troll from Burning Blade) that the lynxes from Eversong are the only cats that do not float.

THis is a picture I took on my Alliance Hunter, whom I might be getting rid of soon, on Arthas.


Has anyone else noticed this? The pet's level is 14 in the image.

I've even tamed one on my Troll (Burning Blade) hunter, who is level 55 now. The lynx doesn't do that, but the lioness I tamed earlier does the same exact thing, swim 'inside' it's name... @.@

Every pet I have floats above the water...most of the time,anyway. The only pet I have that "sometimes" has trouble keeping her head up is Crystal,my SB bear. For some reason,her head doesn't quite break the surface sometimes.

But a quick direction change and "POP"...up comes her head. lol

Tested with a raptor on my Troll Wispquill.

Her pets do not swim inside their name, unlike the cat in the above image. Just couldn't describe it better than "floating"

My hunter Shaon's cats do not care for the water either. It seems as that the higher in level I get them, the higher out of the water they get when we swim. I suspect that soon I shall have water walking felines who simply refuse to get their fur wet.

I have not taken my bear swimming for a while and I haven't really tested my devilsaur in the water yet either so I cannot say how either feels about swimming.

That is so weird. o.o I have trouble keeping my pet's heads above water...

of course that includes my spring paw lynx...

but also my lions...

spirit beasts...

All of them have trouble keeping their noses above water. x3 ....Well at least that lets me know I'm not feeding them too much... *humor*

I've seen a few times with other hunters. However, I can only imagine flying pets doing that sort of thing because when they're underwater, they really look like they're swimming even though that's impossible for them, especially for birds and there aren't any tameable penguins (yet?).

Devilsaurs have one of my favourite swim animations, and I just love how their spines stick up out of the water like a shark fin. x)

The best is when flying pets swim with you instead of the logical flying over the water

Although when I go swimming with my Spider he looks like an octopus! And if we're just walking through shallow water he splashes up a storm.

Yes. Hands down favorite swim animation.

My first and only floating pet is my Ghostsaber. I got her at level 80 and cycled through many pets before and since. She's my only hydrophobic kitty (or any other animal, for that matter)
