Apparentily Blizzard made some nice changes to Tracking:

You can now see if the NPC / person is under, over or at same level as you

Oh! Is *that* what those arrows meant! I was wondering! I saw the tracking change (and beamed at it; forgot to mention) but I couldn't figure out what the little arrows beside the NPCs indicated.

what relevance is there to knowing if a npc is higher or lower level than you?

I think you misunderstood me. I don't know exatly how to explain it, but I can give it a try ^^

Ex: If you are flying the arrows will tell you if the NPC is higher in the air, standing on the ground or flying next to you.

Too bad this only works at close range, would be great for surveying the planet.

Aha, that does make a bit more sense. I was wondering why the hell anyone would care if a npc was LVL20 or not lol

Now if only they would make the marks on the map more relevant to what you are tracking...or atleast make prof marks different (ie green for herb, slate for mining...) and make hunters tracking map icons differnt to...is that yellow dot a mine? a herb? a beast? I'd like to be able to tell at a glance rather then have to mouse over every dot (sometimes there are just to many of them!)

Awesome - the tracking list has been a big cluttered mess for a while now. Will be nice to see things more organized.
