Strider Clutchmother, Take III (Pics)
I decided that I couldn't risk her going extinct and not having her, even though retaming her hadn't sat right the first time.
My Tauren is full up, after lucking into Humar the other night.
Since Teigan the only other one that can tame her, I decided to see if the third time was the charm. I gave her a different name and decided she's a grown hatchling of my original Strider Clutchmother. It works, this way.
I named her Tsera...yes, Teigan and Tsera. It pleases me. (Tegan and Sara is a band, more of a duo, that does some really good folksy music) Teigan isn't named after Tegan, but it seemed like a good silly idea for a silly bird.
Anyway, so she respawned the second I tamed her, oddly enough, so I had some fun with Eyes of the Beast.
"I'll never understand them..." "Me neither." "What is she doing?" "Who knows with those guys!"

Nice, I tamed my Clutchmother today, and already she's my pride and joy. Named her Azure.

That's so awesome. Love the screen shots. Congrats on the tame and bringing her back to your side.

It's a shame she never grows back to her wild size. She is a tall bird, but when you bring her back to her wild self she looks so small. She's the size of the babies!

I agree. I remember when I tamed her the first tame around level 20, i was shocked. I hadn't noticed "pet shrinkage" prior to that. At least she's a little bigger at a higher level. Have you ever tamed a tallstrider on a Tauren hunter, though? Now that...oh my. I tamed Mazz on Gryselde at lvl 10. He was waist high on her. Bright pink waist high bird. I think I have a screen shot of that somewhere. I'll have to look. Thankfully, he's grown a bit, but I still call him my war turkey.

Even my pink bird seemed kind of small compared to my orc hunter (female) when I first tamed her and orcs are not very tall compared to taurens and trolls. The bird was a head shorter. It was only at around level 25-30 that Fritz was about my hunter's height.
