Weapons that hide enchants
Is there a list of weapons (all types) that hide the enchants of the weapon they are transmogged to?
I believe Staff of Infinite Mysteries does as well as Skullforge Reaver.
The absolutely enormous Brunnhildar Harpoon is a transmoggable white vendor weapon that has it's own slight blue glow, and it will cover up the bright green agility enchant whatever you mog it to has.

I would certainly love a list like this, but am not aware of one.
Thanks for the tip on the Brunnhildar Harpoon. I'm now trying it out on my main--not sure I'll keep it though, because as you said it's enormous!

Dang. That's really not a bad looking polearm. I need to start paying attention to the stuff vendors sell.
Not to derail things, but what is the rest of the outfit your Tauren is wearing composed of?

Staff of Endless mysteries also covers it. (Or the purple Kara staff, for people who are wondering)

Re: Weapons that hide enchants
As someone recommended to me for my priest, the Darkmoon Magestaff has a faint blue glow naturally, so no bright green agility (or in my case, Power Torrent fireball).
Pillar of Ferocity (Anetheron - Mt. Hyjal raid) has its own natural glow as well.
For priests, Benediction and Anathema hide enchants.
If I recall, the Ulduar staves don't completely hide enchants, but the natural glow on them covers up a lot. Power Torrent would probably show through, but not everything does.

Shoulders: Gahrron's Shoulderguard (quest item)Boven wrote:Dang. That's really not a bad looking polearm. I need to start paying attention to the stuff vendors sell.

Head: Swashbuckler's Eyepatch (BOE green)
Chest: Barbaric Harness (BOE green)
Hands: Handwraps of Preserved History (Kara drop I think?)
Belt: Winterfin Cord (BOE green)
Pants: Pygmy Pants (BOE green I think)
Everything else is either hidden or just doesn't show up for whatever reason (like my boots).
The same vendor also sells a bow that has a similar Equip frost damage bonus, and it's also transmoggable. http://www.wowhead.com/item=41746#modelviewer

White vendor weapon? Is there a list of Transmoggable white vendor weapons somewhere, or is it an oversight?ravingsockmonkey wrote:Is there a list of weapons (all types) that hide the enchants of the weapon they are transmogged to?

I'm not sure if there is a list, but I'm wondering if these two are only transmoggable because they have an "on equip" effect.Unggoy wrote:White vendor weapon? What would be interesting would be to see what white items have similar on equips and see if they are transmoggable.

Re: Weapons that hide enchants
Looking at the "Common" weapons on WoWhead, the only other one with any green text is also sold by the same vendor: http://www.wowhead.com/item=43601
Amazingly enough, there are only 381 common (white) weapons in their database compared to over 1,000 rare (blue) weapons, over 2,000 uncommon (green) weapons, and a whopping 1,855 epic (purple) weapons.
This number is probably inflated more if you consider the random enchant weapons as individuals rather than grouped under their main name.
I'm curious if the BOP quest white items can be used since they are soul bound.

Re: Weapons that hide enchants
Related news! Blizzard might be looking into a way to toggle weapon enchants. I sincerely hope they do, sometimes that horrible green glow completely clashes or covers up the appearance you want. :/
I realize this thread has been around for a while but the topic is still relevant. As many of you may or may not know, weapon enchants have been a feature of World of Warcraft since the beginning. Providing iconic and recognizable looks to various enchants is something that's added an element of uniqueness to the game and to your character. However, we do understand they can sometimes overpower the aesthetics of the awesome weapons you can obtain in game now. It's certainly something we have discussed with the developers recently and we'll be looking into potentially allowing an enchant toggle. If and when such a feature is introduced, we'll be sure to let the community know as soon as possible.
