Rolled new troll hunter...

So a few guildies and I decided to roll hordies. (We're alliance now) We went with the Baelgun server. Anyway, I hit lvl 10 and went to tame a pet. I decided on the tigers from Echo Isles. I had forgotten all about them. I've never seen anyone on Velen with that type of tiger. Everyone has some sort of saber. So then when I got enough silver, cause you know how hard it is to start on a realm where you know noone and have nothing, I got a 2nd stable slot and tamed Mazz. Figured since I was in the area I might as well.Are there any other unique skins out there I should be looking for as I level a hordie hunter? I don't really care about rare anymore since they're no different than all other pets, but I like unique skins. The Kurken, Numaroc, all the Spirit Beasts, just to name a few...

Hmm, here's some off the top of my head:

Ressan the Needler - the only albino bat skin you see until much higher levels.
Humar or Echeyakee - both gorgeous lions from The Barrens.
Scorpid Worker/Clattering Scorpid from Durotar - they're deceptively beautiful creatures with a blue colouration on the underside.
Deathclaw from Bloodmyst Isle - the only plagued bear appearance until higher levels.
Daggercap Hawk - a fun and daring adventure for a low level character. :3

If your into wind serpents the yellow skin is hardly ever used (lowest lvl is 11), and inside WC there are green and dark blue ones.

This is not exactly a unique skin but you can get a prairie wolf from Mulgore that barks. There's also Gorefang in Silverpine.

Nope, the Mulgore wolves are special because they bark when you click on them. ^^ No other wolves in game do this.

the blue-ish/green scorpids in barrens are unique

ravagers in Azuremyst/Bloodmyst are unique till Hellfire

the yellow lions with manes are unique to Barrens and as a rare in Mulgore

the red crabs in Durotar are the only readily available ones until Northrend

the lynxes and dhawks in BE zones are unique till Outland

Owls in Teldrassil are the only owls available till Felwood

So I once again am trying to tame them all. I let my Echo Island tiger loose and tamed Echeyakee. God I wish I had some gold for more stables, but 5G at lvl 16 is out of the querstion.

If you're into turtles, there's an albino one in Ghostlands. It's not rare but it's something Blizzard released not too long ago.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Takk from the barrens.

Takk is great, and Humar is certainly worth considering. The black lion skin is super common at Northrend levels because Pitch is easily obtainable, but for the bulk of your leveling career, the only skin like that is Humar.

Also agreed with the Owls, as getting one of those at low level is a badge of honour for a Horde Hunter. Or the Snow Leopards from Dun Morogh.

And congrats on your decision on a Troll! You're on my server, too....

The problem right now is I'm level 17 and new to the realm, so I don't have support of my main to buy stable slots for all the pets I want. Right now I have Eechyakke and Mazz. I'm thinking od releasing Echy for Takk. (I abandoned the quest and got another horn so I can summon and tame him when I get more stables.)

Though on that note, Moths are also rare at low levels. There's 3 skins on Azuremyst/Bloodmyst, but they're the only place you can get moths until Terokkar Forest in Outlands.

So I took the plunge and got a Daggerhawk today. Never realized how much it looks like my Nelf druid's flight form lol. Guess lvl 17 troll hunters CAN have a druid pet. lmao
