New Humanoid Rare(Zandalari Warscout/Warbringer) Adding Maps
"Zandalari forces have begun scouting the shores of Pandaria, searching for the perfect invasion point. The Zandalari can be found in Krasarang Wilds, Dread Wastes, Townlong Steppes, Jade Forest, and Kun-Lai Summit. Zandalari Scouts can be handled by 1 or 2 players, while elite Zandalari Warbringers will likely require a full party of 5 heroes. Defeat Warbringers to gain special drops, including crafting materials, reputation gains, an achievement, and even the chance to get one of three new rare mounts!"
Zandalari Warscouts and Warbringers can summon meteors during the fight that need to be dodged, blue scarabs that can easily be aoe'd down, summon a ghost add that hits like a truck (Vengeful Spirit), fear (Horrific Visage), and have a ground slam ability (Thunder Crush). They have buffs on them that will tell you what abilities you will encounter during your fight.
(The little scarabs are not tamable)
Zandalari Warscouts are currently able to be solo'd by hunters. They drop the emblems that give rep and a bag of goodies.
Zandalari Warbringers can be solo'd by a hunter with a lot of kiting, but will normally require more people. If you plan to attempt a solo plan out your kiting path, clear any mobs, and make sure you slow and stun him. Binding Shot works wonders. I've only managed to solo as Survival, but I believe Wamo was doing it as BM.
They drop emblems, a bag of goodies, and the chance at one of the Direhorn mounts.
(Borrowed the map of the warbringers from MMO-C)
Zandalari Warscout Paths
Townlong Steppes
The 2 Scouts spawn where the Warbringer sits and pat off in different directions along the path. Kun-Lai Summit
The 2 Scouts spawn very close to where the Warbringer sits and pat off in different directions.
The one who goes north pats to a little cliff overlooking The Grummle Bazzar and then turns back around.
The one who goes south pats to the Yaungol who are fighting outside of Binan Village and then turns around. Dread Wastes
The 2 Scouts spawn near the Warbringer and pat off in different directions.
The one who heads east pats to the Lake of Stars and turns around.
The one who heads west first pats to the left side of Heart of Fear then turns around and pats to the right side before turning around and retracing his steps back.
(Ignore the black line. Messed up and it wouldn't undo it for whatever reason)

Also I'm curious. Has anyone else seen this before?

Re: New Humaniod Rare
He's one of the new legendary pet battles. I ran into a couple too - a fish and a bandicoon! Looks like there's one per zone thus far.Bonita wrote:Also I'm curious. Has anyone else seen this before?

Ka'wi the Gorger.
Yes, he eats the flowers.
Yes, I am completely and entirely sad that we can't keep him. He's the size of a hunter pet! x_x

Re: New Humanoid Rare
One of the Warbringers. Attempting to 2 man it but the world crashed lol
Annd I wasn't even targetting him. Oops lol. We got him down to about 60% while kiting though before everything froze
Edit: Got him. He dropped 3 of the rep things and 1 bag of goodies
The Pterrorwing didn't join in the fight or drop anything when I killed him. Most likely he's meant to join in instead of watch his buddy get owned lol
Found a warbringer in Townlong near the path that leads to Siege of Niuzao Temple
Found a warscout walking along the Stinging Trail in Dread wastes
And found another one

Re: New Humanoid Rare (Zandalari Warscout and Warbringer)
They currently use the same abilities as the non-elite Troll rares (add summoning and aoe) which are pretty easy to manage. Dodge the aoe and kill the adds (which have low hp).
Kiting to towns (like the Grummie Bazzar) helps as the guards will help and attack the rare.
A relative of Chibee, perhaps? Oh Blizzard. <3Kalliope wrote: Ka'wi the Gorger.

Re: New Humanoid Rare (Zandalari Warscout and Warbringer)
The one that seems the easiest to solo is the one in Townlong. Soloing might become harder or impossible if the Pterrorwing that sits with them actually decides to join in the fight.
