Out of curiousity, why no Degu?

And wow, you took Gumi the super-hard way with all the mobs! :o

Gumi did give us a lot of difficulty. I believe we wiped 10-15 times trying to tame him. I haven't checked Degu (red) but i believe he is the hardest one to tame.

We didn't go for Degu seeing how we believe he was the most difficult. Gumi (Blue) Made us disband afterwards because of how difficult it was just to tame him.

As to which is the hardest, it depends on personal preference. Staying in Degu's dead zone can be a real challenge (especially since it means backpedaling, which goes against everything we've been taught about moving backwards), but as you saw, Gumi can be quite difficult too due to his speed....and location matters.

I backpeddle all the time (I find it easier to maneuver than strafing/etc, in reality), so Degu might be easier for me than I thought. xD

Yeah, in that case, you might find Gumi to be the most difficult! But it's all how it feels. :)

Yeah, no offence or anything, but I have to agree with Qinni. You might be better off doing some commentary or something. Otherwise the videos aren't that helpful. :/

I'm sorry but he's following rules and not being rude or saying his video is better than hers or anything of the sort so regardless if you feel hers was more helpful or not you should NOT pick on him. He's been picked on enough all ready. Kalli wasn't rude to him so why should you be? He tries to post up videos of helpful things and gets chastised for it. That being said I quite enjoyed your video and I enjoyed Kalli's as well. The porcupine spirit beasts aren't for me sadly. They creep me out. Good job either way though! :)

Its call criticism sweetheart.

Plus I like to add that I wasn't aware that he was picked on before. Also your post is kinda rude to me and the other poster that agreed.

We're not picking on him. .___. As Qinni said, constructive criticism. It's called trying to be helpful.

I'm sorry if I came off that way but you came off as rude to him. I'm in the opinion of only giving criticism if it is asked for. Maybe he posted the video just for fun? Either way comparing his work to somebody else's will always make someone feel bad.

Well I didn't mean to say 'they should be more like Kalli's videos' or anything like that. And I certainly didn't mean to be rude about it.
In fact, I can't say that I pick on him, considering I stood up for him in a previous thread of his.

Which is why I gave him criticism. I'm constantly reminded about how much better artists are here on petopia. No matter how much you sugar coat it its always going to be a blow to the ego.

I dont feel he was comparing himself to Kalli though which is why I said something. Tone is hard to convey and I apologize. If you say something with the attempt of constructive criticism it can often be misconstrued. That's my bad, I think his videos are nice. Everyone has a different approach to their work. Either way... Spirit porcupines still creep me out.

I find them weird too. >: And the idea of spectral porcupines... seems... silly. I dunno. I can't take these as seriously as Loque, Ban'thalos, Skoll, etc.

Yes, because Ghost Porcupines are silly.

But Ghost cats, Ghost bears, ghost crabs, ghost owls, etc. are totally not silly. Right?

Rodents bear some innate silliness for most people. I had hamsters since years now, you can't look at them and not think something silly. :P From my experience, most hunters want something that looks badass, especially if it's a rare or difficult spirit beast.

Not really the case. I used to own pet rats and I adored them, I take rats very seriously. I adore animals, even porcupines. But I do think Blizzard's model of them looks silly. The quills aren't sharp, their heads look misshapen and their buck teeth... no. And adding a spectral skin to them doesn't help their case. If they looked like real porcupines do, I would no doubt love them.

I've also never seen most of my hunter's pets as 'badass'. Most people think that about warp stalkers, I just think they're adorable. I also have a boar. Boars are often considered silly.
