New Armored Worgs Tameable?

Unread post by Bulletdance »

Hey guys, I found this screen on mmo champion and wondered if anyone knew yet if we can nab these worgs or not as pets? They are awesome.

At the moment, no. :( I hope they end up making an unarmored version of it, such an amazing wolf.

Edit: On a side note, since the wolf and rider are seperate NPCs, if you Scare Beast the wolf, the rider goes along for the ride.

Image

also found some riderless versions that are also unable to be tamed

Level 90 beast? Absolutely no reason it shouldn't be tameable.

Pity. It is awesome looking. :(

I'd say there's a very good reason and that being the blatant horde banner attacked to it. :( Which really is a shame because it is such a cool model. I really wish they made one without a saddle and armor that could be implemented as a pet.

As Wain posted quite some time ago, ( http://forums.wow-petopia.com/viewtopic ... 90&start=2 under Wolves) unfortunately these skins are pretty unfinished underneath the armor, but I definitely agree it would be so great if they could finish them off and have them tamable, they are beautiful.

And with the banner, I'm also inclined to think they won't end up on the "tamable" list as a armored wolf either. :(

But that doesn't say a thing since we haven't had an armored wolf since. I'm sure though, that Blizzard is aware that worgs deserve more love in comparison to.. lol.. cats -- and that a lot of hunters would love to tame them, so we just have to see what comes of it.

If anything, it's a good development that they've been changed from friendly to Horde/hostile to Alliance to neutral for Horde.

Though, the one shown was not actually a horde unit, it was from the fel orcs in HFP. Though the markings on the upper saddle do look very "hordish"

That said I would love these to become tamable... But I just not sure if the prior tamable armored worg is enough of a precedent to allow this one become tamable too considering it's horde connection :|

Well you could say the markings on the saddle are for the fel horde or something, I will say it's a neat looking mount!

I said that. :p

Anyway, it wouldn't be bad for Horde characters because they are Horde and for Alliance characters because.. they'll be fighting Kor'kron too? Maybe it'd come in handy to steal a wolf from them for surprise attacks? It's just as weird for an Alliance character to run around with a red armored dire worg with such symbols as it is for one to ride around with this worg, I think. x)

Besides that, I do still hope they make an unarmored version.

Why don't they just
Snap off the banner
And have it be tameable
:c

You mean like that, Tsuki? Very good idea, and very possible. All I needed to do to remove them was tick off the marked geosets and voila!

Blizzard can do the exact same -- maybe even easier. After all, they did the same with the unarmoured Faerie Dragon when they accidentally replaced the old Faerie Dragon model.

Dear god, that looks awesome. You'd see no arguments out of me if they were to remove the banner and flag them as tameable!

That looks really awesome, I would definitely consider taming that model if they did that.

y-e-s.
Also, that more generic looking model should totally be available for people who complete non-rated BG achivements (alliance getting a more generic coloured non-bannered war-horse)

The mount has always reminded me of the pic above. I think it'd fit reallyreallyreally well with worgen hunters.

Is it weird I'd love to see these implemented as a PvP reward?

Like, not a serious one, just like, win 100 random bgs or something.

Gives you access to a special area which only has these worgs.

Alliance could have an Alliance Flag, Horde can have a Horde flag, and there could be another with no flag.

And I say nothing serious because you just know hunters would not stop raging on the forums that the only HQ Wolf Model was limited to hardcore PvPers.

Not a huge fan of wolves (weird for a worgen, no?), but I could see this growing on me.
