Really, how could this look good on ANYONE? (Belt and cloak are non-set items that match the look not that it really helps improve things.)

I am not seeing the set at all from that link, just goes to a primarily black blank wowhead page.

The Striker's set? That exact set, well maybe with a different shirt, I use too; at least, some times.

I think it's one of the few AQ40 sets that doesn't look totally bad.

The AQ tier Hunter set is actually a well-liked set, so I have heard.

I used some of it to go with some non-matching parts of the Hero's mail for a little while.

Transmog is rather subjective. :P

I guess it could maybe work for some folks... it's just the helm and shoulders are so... so bizarre. But since those two parts are usually the two most distinct pieces of a set, I honestly can't think of anything that could replace them without looking weird(er).

Fashion is all in the eye of the person wearing an outfit and those that look upon it.

I love the Striker's Garb! Such an interesting set.

Plus it's the perfect match for my Ravager:

I've always liked that set too. The AQ sets were meant to be bizarre.

Agreed! Of course it's completely fine if they're not to people's taste, I can totally understand that. They're very different from most tiers, but they should be given the insect/old god theme of the raid. I dunno, I've just always thought they were really cool looking even while being completely bizarre. The hunter set is one of the best ones in my opinion, red and purple is a great colour scheme. :D

Oh, well, lol I have that as one of my Mog sets on my Main hunter :) I rather like it. I use the purple bow from AQ as well to go with it. Forget off the top of my head the name.

*Edit* Well, that cloak you have in the link certainly looks really nice with the set, I shall have to aquire it, and hope I don't disrupt someones hunting :(

I agree with you there, but I also love the Shaman Stormcaller's set (Red and Yellow version of the Hunter set) and the Paladin set. I hope we'll see more sets like this if/when we end up fighting the next old god that comes along (Y'Shaarj, N'Zoth, etc.)

I have to say that is the best looking set of all the teirs hands down. I just need the gloves and a belt and I'll be sweet <3 LOve the set.

Actually, back when I didn't play WoW, in vanilla, my elder brother had this set, or most parts of it. AT that time, I thought the set was really cool and I wanted it.

I started playing in TBC, but I didn't end up getting it until Cataclysm, haha. Now, it's not a set I use all the time, but I still like it. It fits the raid, and it has a distinct theme that I can enjoy. Personally, I also enjoy the look of the warrior and paladin tiers. I sure hope that we'll get armor like that again someday. Especially with the quality of the armors today. I also really wanted Demon Stalker badly. Didn't get it either until WotLK.

It's also pretty funny, because the hunter(and shaman), or just the mail version of the set looks the least like wearing parts of the enemy. The cloth has this chitinous texture, and the leather and plate sets, as easily seen, are literally made of qiraji parts. If you look at how hunters nowadays are the class whose tier sets 90% of the time are made out of the parts taken from their enemies, I think it's pretty humorous.

I already saw the way you utilize that set before Veph, but it does really look good. With the increase of stable slots, I might actually get a ravager again as well. I tend to use a red shirt with the set though, as the purple of the shirt doesn't quite seem to fit for me. Red Workman's Shirt, actually. I also use the Loque'Nahak pelt, as I feel it fits very well. For me, it just ties the set together.

Now, with a weapon, I have never really found a thematically fitting, or at least color-wise fitting weapon that didn't stick out when it comes to ranged weapons. Though, when it comes to melee, which you can use around town when you're goofing around, I feel Terokk's Quill from the Sethekk Halls quest blends in very well. I guess some of the AQ40/20 sets staves also fit well.

I just LOVE this set!!! Not only is purple my favourite colour, but it is one of the only helms in game that doesn't hide your hair regardless of your chosen style :D

That set is great... on an elf.

Put it on a dwarf. /shudder

Everyone forgets that what works well on one race is a hideous disaster on another.

I just went through all the races, and (imo) didn't find a single one that the set did not look good on. I actually feel tempted to acquire this set on my dreanie hunter (though I really am fond of her Black dragonscale set).

I suppose everyone has their likes/dislikes for sets (for me I don't like the gronnstalker)

A dwarf looks like a grumpy TeleTubbie in that set, imo

Yes, definitely not a dwarf kind of set :P

I've seen it first on a female draenei, and it looks really cool for her and quite fitting - kind of a strange alien-ish style.
I think the B-elves should be ok with it, too. As for the other races... no idea :P
