The sandy brown is used on a mount, so it can't be *too* sacrosanct. Maybe Jeremy is saving it for a rare, or something special

They usually leave special mounts alone. Remember the Sunreaver Dragonhawk?
If the brown one was made for the leatherworking mount, it's quite possible we won't see it tameable.

Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
Bats in new RFK still untamable.
Wolf in UBRS (first area) IS tamable but rylaks in final fight are not.
I reported the former as a bug but the latter is probably intentional.

That Shale Beast family thing with gyreworms in the family isn't happening, I guess. Well, at least not now. Maybe, possibly in the future, but sadly, that means very little. Still happy with what we got, but when he mentioned the gyreworms, I was pretty hyped to see that the Shale Spider family would be expanded upon by adding gyreworms.
They're pretty cool, and I'm surprised that they were added as tameable beasts.

Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
I'm a bit sad that there is no news yet on skyscreamers , or that direhorns don't get a useful ability or buff with all the rework going into pet skills... saurians need some love, as it is the most viable dino for a hunter is raptor and devilsaur. The same can be said for other families, some abilities just seem tossed in there and while some may match up to the look of a certain pet ( like direhorns shield ) they have almost no viable utility out of some very special conditions it just seems sloppy on the devs part, especially considering how much effort they put in the retuned and reworked pet utility and skills for WoD.
Also any news or tweets on skeletal pets? I mean a skeletal wind serpent is perfect for any hunter trying to RP a shadow hunter, nothing says voodoo like having an undead spawn of a blood god by your side , skeletal raptors are nice too but I DESPISE the stinking underbite, they ruined both them and deathwing with that, seriously they look like Zilla..... bleh :3

The Skeletal windserpent was put back to undead awhile ago, I believe and Skyscreamers aren't tameable at this time.

Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
You mean the Mana Wyrms? Those are obtainable as battle pets. Cause 'wyrmling' only comes up as battle pets. However, they are not tameable.

Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
We haven't had any reports in about spirit beasts, other than Gara. So I don't think it is. Where is this mob, exactly? Maybe one of our beta testers can go have a peek.

The blood red wind serpents name is Sangrikass. It's an aberration. Not looking like it will be changed to a beast. It's spawned by the Spawn of Sethe event.biscitandchina wrote:Has anyone checked on this? Has it been made tamable or not?
This thing is another one I am bummed didn't become tamable. But alas. We cannot have them all.

Any news on how to get my hydra to shut it's face?
I love them, but why do they roar every 10 seconds?

There's an option under the system settings that allows for you to turn off the idle and aggro noises made by pets.Rozzana wrote:Any news on how to get my hydra to shut it's face?

Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
Has it been confirmed that the dread ravens are completely out of the running? I'm hoping that we get pterrodaxes with a skill book like Direhorns later on. But I'm losing hope for tameable dread ravens...

So far, they are not going to be tameable.Aquillian wrote:Has it been confirmed that the dread ravens are completely out of the running? I'm hoping that we get pterrodaxes with a skill book like Direhorns later on. But I'm losing hope for tameable dread ravens...
Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
No indication that this will change then? Ah, well. We've gotten lots of new shinies. Those are just... very shiny shinies.
