Re: WoD new pet lists
^^^ was just coming here to ask about this. What can we do to help? I'm *totally* available and at your disposal Wain. Whatever you need for help with this!! Just hollar. I am a housewife and my kids are grown, I am not lying when I say I have the time! lol
Re: WoD new pet lists
I guess I better get this list into shape. Sorry, had too much on, plus things were changing so fast it started to feel like too much just to keep it current...
I'll try to update it as quickly as I can. If not, and you have lists of what isn't tameable, just PM him with them

Re: WoD new pet lists
OK, first part of update: I updated all the NPC IDs and appearances for what was already on the list. I've added notes for things where Wowhead lists multiple IDs or the appearance seems to have changed from what was last recorded and needs verifying. If anyone can shed any light on those notes, that would be great!
Next I'll add everything else that everyone has added to this thread and I've neglected.
Once that's done we can make a definitive list of what isn't tameable but could be. We can also work out what colours might be missing.

Maybe they can add in an orange old world hydra somewhere, since that skin is currently unused. *cough* add one as a rare spawn *cough*Wain wrote:We can also work out what colours might be missing.
Re: WoD new pet lists
Well, I think I have everything from this thread up in the tables now, except for a few where I couldn't find the info (have Young Talbuks changed name already?).
There are loads of notes for things I wasn't sure of.
And I'm certain there are LOADS of beasts still missing. So if you want to help further, please send reports in and I'll keep updating them.
But most of all, THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the work you guys have done submitting these. You guys have done a ton of work and I'm sorry I let you down by taking so long to get it up on the tables. Hopefully it'll be easier to manage from now on

Re: WoD new pet lists
Last I checked, the only Draenor hydras that were tameable were the purple ones in Shadowmoon Valley. I think I need to go back and check all the ones I've encountered in other zones to see if they're still not flagged.
Re: WoD new pet lists
Cool. Thanks! The list should be updatedjensketch wrote:Okay so Spires of Arak updated that aren't on the list (I used the ctrl+F find function on the first page)
.....
For everything on that is already on the list, I've placed a simple date string (YYYMMDD) in the Notes column if it's been checked recently. Anything without that date cannot be trusted for tameability or current appearance and we'll need to check again before we confirm which aren't tameable. I should start compiling a list of ones that are confirmed not tameable and probably should be.
Thanks

Re: WoD new pet lists
Okay I have a *LOAD* of Nagrand beasts incoming. Just wanted to let you know 28 beasts with IDs are otw. Most are un-tameable despite being in the Tame_OK families. Working on pulling up IDs now. I will edit this post with the ID list.

Re: WoD new pet lists
Awesome! Thank you! Will have to add your updates tomorrow as it's getting very late. Spent the evening reviewing most of FFR (didn't get quite done before they took the server down).

Re: WoD new pet lists
The talbuk in Shadowmoon Valley that I tamed is the 'Young Silverpelt', in Saarah's glade, just above Embarri Village.
Re: WoD new pet lists
Gah. They weren't yesterday and I only just did FFR. Wonder if I have to do it all over againQuivering wrote:Garn Nighthowl in FFR are tameable now if you happen to love repair bills.

Re: WoD new pet lists
Direfang Alpha (elite) and direfang prowlers (brown nagrand wolves) are tameable in new build 9/17.
Just FYI, the alpha takes a pretty good sized bite out of you when taming.
The clefthooves and talbuks in the same area are not tameable yet.

Re: WoD new pet lists
Haha that sucks. Unfortunately, were probably gonna have to comb over every NO in our list with each build. :\Wain wrote:Gah. They weren't yesterday and I only just did FFR. Wish I could carve some time out to help more.

Re: WoD new pet lists
Yeah it seems that tameable mobs are just trickling in. Just the day before the Direfangs were NOT tameable. It's interesting how they do it!
I will go through some more zones today and see what's up. If you want to help Wain - write down every single mob you cast Beast Lore on, if it's tameable, then go back and go through wowhead and nab the IDs and make a list for him here. Don't make him grab the ID -- he already does a ton of work!

Re: WoD new pet lists
BTW, the format for the GUID has changed in this build, which means the macro to determine the NPC ID has as well. Please use:
/run print("Target NPC ID:", strmatch(UnitGUID("target"),"-(%d*)-%x*$"))
/run print("Target NPC ID:", strmatch(UnitGUID("target"),"-(%d*)-%x*$"))

Re: WoD new pet lists
Thank you, I will do this. I wasn't sure how to get the ids.
Young Silverpelt, Shadowmoon Valley ID 86801 is tameable.

Grom'kar Warbeast - 85537 - Clefthoof -The Path of Glory, Talador - Tameable
Edit:
Did some roaming in Spires of Arak...
These seem to be missing, moved, or maybe just REALLY long respawn timers. There is now a treasure item where Nightmaw used to be.
