Though if they are only in the east (Which, lets be honest, is where they are going to be based), the new servers might well be in Malaysia, it's closer for those in W.A.

Should just be in Auckland AKA best place ever :p

No more or less laggy than it is for any Oceanic players right now - which is about a ping of 200+ or so on my system. A slight lag of a second or so, if that. Nothing that's going to break the game and make it unplayable I would think.

I very much appreciate thew new servers, and even if they are located over in the eastern states, hell it's still closer to us than they have been before. I'll be interested to see what the new ping rates are going to be like.
Although honestly it's not going to mean much of a difference for me - I've set my roots on a US server and, while I play about on Nagrand from time to time, it's not my home. That's just me though. I will say that I am infinitely glad that they're keeping the Oceanic servers and the US servers connected.

It's nice to know that if our servers are having an issue it might be fixed quicker XD

I expect they'll be in Sydney which would probably make the most sense for business and centrality. Though I guess Brisbane would be closer to central for the region but you wouldn't want to outages due to cane toads in the wiring.

Is the transfer time still 6:01 eastern? I'm reading that some folks have already started to transfer toons, but I'm paranoid if I start before seeing official confirmation that I might not get refunded... I'm shifting some 30 or so toons!!!

question: f i were to move my horde on US serv to an EU serv, will the money be refunded to my bank account or go into the wow balance?

I started playing again today and I've yet to have any lag. :3

No.

The free/refund applies only to US server --> Oceanic server
