So I found the nest! Now that I know the spawn point, I feel a little more prepared.

Being on MG, I expect the place to be coated in alliance hunters. Anyone have ideas on his respawn time? A wowhead comment said a couple of hours, but...


(It's not a slight, Alliance pop is more than double the Horde. It's just life).

It's at least a couple hours, but may be made screwy with CRZ in the lower-level zone. I got him after about 3 1/2 hours of camping with no one else in sight.

Yeah, it seems to be in the 1-3.5 hour range, far as I can tell. I'm checking in periodically for the sake of data, but with CRZ and peeps swooping it, it's gonna be hard to tell.

I've been at the spawn point for almost 6 hours and haven't seen the nest.

As has been seen with other Feathermanes and rares in the past, sharding is the issue. You haven't been in the same phase that whole six hours.

Yeah, sharding really screws with timers. It's a shame. :/

Is there anyway to tell what server you are currently on vs your 'home' server?

It spawned at 2.5 hrs for me (I watched it spawn for another Hunter and I began camping from there). It spawned at almost 2.5 hrs on the dot. However, destroying the nest spawned no Snowblind. It happened to a few other Hunters around me (who had their Snowblind nest spawn at the same time as me, on another shard I presume cause I never saw them til after I destroyed the nest alone).

So apparently not every nest spawns the gryphon

that almost sounds like the Spectral Egg Gon spawning issue.

It must be. I got the nest again today, clicked it. Nothing. No gryphon. This is really irritating to me now because this was my favorite model I was looking forward to this entire family. And I know it works, cause I've seen other Hunters click and spawn him fine (heck I did once before Tuesday just so I could track his timer). But now I can't seem to luck out at all.

Guess just make another bug report =/

It's weird because it does spawn sort of away from the nest.

It's probably up a lot on my server, I can get some of you crossed over if you're US-Horde.

Realm hopped and got him. Very pretty pet. Luckily, he spawned when I clicked nest. I've heard people reporting no spawn when clicking the nest too. That's an awful bug

Yeah I spawned snowblind 3 1/2 hours ago. He's still flying around the tree on my server, just checked.

Cross Realm does not seem to work like it did even just recently. I've had friends be the leader on a different realm and invite me (we are both 110) and I don't get ported to their realm. I'm really not sure how it works anymore.

I don't think there are "Battlegroups" anymore like there used to be. In the low-level areas, I think all 150+ servers share space/shards and it's really fluid how things change and where you get put.

In any event, no one is in Winterspring and trying to realm hop via an addon like Cross Realm Assist does nothing. You just have to sit and do this the old way I guess!

Been camping 2 hours. Only in the last 20 minutes I've decided to keep a mob set as focus so if it disappears I know I've gone to another shard. Who knows if I already have. Sigh...

In the times I camped Snowblind, each spawn was well over 3 hrs. A lot of people have been reporting similar camp times to new. In my experience, I didn't phase into other CRZ/shards.

Hopefully he spawns though. I've clicked the nest 2x and no spawn of the gryphon. I've met 4 other hunters who have had the same problem, though we had no problems with sharding lol

After many hours of camping and "bad nests" as I dubbed them, finally.... Finally have my Snowblind! Renamed him Stormwing since that's what I had planned on naming him ever since we found the snowy gryphon. So happy!



His spawn timer seems to be around the 3-4 hr range from my experience, and that was with no sharding issues.

A lightning gryphon similar to skoll would be so cool....
