I really hope those baby Brotosaurs are tameable. Give us a "Cute" pet already. Marsuuls were a nice addition, but a baby pet that's durable would be amazing, and can't get more durable than a Littlefoot!

You know, with the 2 new komodo dragon models:

I can't help but wonder if they're planning on renaming the "Warp Stalker" family into Lizard or something. It would explain the "Void Stalker" family, at least.

Anyway:

New Diemetradon models:

New Thunder Lizard models:

New Pterrodax models:

New Wind Serpent Models:

And I doubt they'll be tameable, but including just because they're beasts:

New Threshadon models:

New pig models:

And companion pet wise:

New Frog Models:

New Cat Models:

New Chicken Models:

I like the look of that wind serpent :)

I'm not sure about the diemetradon. It looks like it lacks detailed texturing. I wasn't sure if it was a baby model at first.

The baby brontos will probably be companion pets.
I am amazed, though. I don't think any of us expected this many model revamps :D

Komodos could become their own family. Warp Stalkers are unique enough to be their own family. Yes, they are reptiles, but they aren't a normal reptile.

yes but my idea was it could be a ph name for the wicker beast
Those are called Wicker Beasts, which was briefly mentioned at Blizzcon. However, despite the name, they aren't beasts. They are an amalgamation of wood, cloth, and dead cats that are bound together by dark druidic magic, and come in a variety of forms.

Mmo-C has a few models that wowhead doesn't have. There are 12 unarmored Pterrodactyl models. 15 komodos. 12 diemetrodons. Eight unarmored Brutos (Brontos). Four Wind Serpents. Nothing so far for the Outland model.

Cross fingers I'll have access to some models tomorrow and can at least get some pics uploaded to Petopia. We'll see :)

Yeah, I don't know if the term has ever been used in the game, but the model is called 'wendigo' so this could refer to them. But it's weird because those yetis have already had a couple of model updates and it seems odd to do yet another so soon :/
To be fair, they were wendigos in wc3, in Northrend map.

There are nine new cobra models, nine new wasp models, and the TBC spider model is receiving an update.

There are three new parrot models.

I think every type of spider model has an update in Battle for Azeroth aside from the Firelands spiders.

From the oldschool minespider type, to the Maexxna type, to tarantula, to lava tarantula, to bonespiders.

That's incredibly awesome.

Man, there's so many animal goodies.

Scarab/Beetle pets also got an update, crabs too, obviously, and we got hermit crabs. Thunder lizards, diemetradons. Serpents, finally.

And this eel thing:

I'm not sure what it is, but it uses land animations, so I wanna tame it, haha.

Not sure what to think of the new Gorilla model's face. I like the rest, the face is a bit OTT for me.

The tarantulas, I like!

Image
I do think they will look better in game due to the fact that these are datamined textures. That's almost always the case.

One thing I don't like is that they gave them pedipalps but rigged those to the old secondary fangs that the old model had. I've never seen pedipalps move horizontally back and forth.

Image

Now these are welcome, too!

Not a complaint, but do a lot of them look.. cute? To anyone? I like that they finally have real eyes, but I think they're so large in comparison to the body that they look like cute critters.

I was getting that vibe, too. The eyes do seem a bit large.

Don't forget about the Silithid beetle update.

The textures may look a bit blurry now, of course. Probably will look a lot better ingame.

I'm amazed that they are updating so many old models. I certainly welcome it, though :)
