Checking out a Fodderlocke Challenge
Posted: Tue Jun 22, 2021 3:05 pm
Because I'm a sucker for challenges on FR apparently. Original post can be found here. There's an awful lot going on so to save space I won't repost it here, but will explain the rolls I get. I have done a few days of this already but decided to share my records with you all.
Note: This is not a traditional Nuzlocke or Pinkerlocke. While there is an option to, I will not be doing any RP (unless I'm particularly inspired for some reason) and instead using this as a log of sorts. Mostly because I don't know how to RP a criminal organisation. If I do work on a true Pinkerlocke again, this will run alongside it and neither will have impact on the other.
Previous Leaders
Blossomgale, days 1 - 7. Victim of a coup.
Malari, days 8 - 11. Victim of a coup.
Tiger, days 12 - 18. Lost in a mission.
Aquiorin, days 19 - 25. Victim of a coup.
Rethor, days 26 - 31. Victim of a coup.
Vornion, days 32 - 40. Lost in a major heist.
Dima, days 41 - 43. Lost in a major heist.
Ryze, days 44 - 52. Victim of a coup.
Balterossa, days 53 - 59. Overthrown.
Miles, days 60 - 65. Survived to the end!
Day 1
Set Up
First things first, every organisation needs a leader. The cheapest adult dragon at the time was Blossomgale, as such she is the one who got things going.
A leader needs to be strong, so she was taken to the Mire with my resident Mire Flyer to train until she was level 8. Now for some partners in crime. The next 4 cheapest dragons came in the form of
Nesita
Malari
Armin
and Luthien
Much like Blossomgale, they need to be strong. Not too strong, mind. Strong enough to be worthwhile but not so strong that they could overpower her! All four got trained up to level 6.
Daily Phase 1
With news spreading about this new organisation some like-minded individuals slip in with the hopes of joining the ranks. Today's potential recruits are
Gandar
and Berke
Of course, we can't just let in any Tom, Dick and Harry. All new recruits are put through their paces similar to the first wave and levelled to 6. Then both rolled 1d6 (RNG 1 to 6). Only those who win full points (roll a 6) are considered useful, everyone else is tossed out with the trash (exalted). In this case Gandar pulled out all the stops, winning a 6 while poor Berke was left out in the cold with his pitiful 2.
Daily Phase 2
Here 1d12 (RNG 1 to 12) is rolled to determine what happens today. I rolled:
5. Crimes time! Pick two dragons at random. They have to go on a quest now. Raise both of them a level. Roll a 6-sided die for each. If it’s a 1, exalt them as they were lost in the mission.
Gandar and Luthien were picked for today's mission. Both reached level 7 and rolled their dice. Luthien rolled a 3 and Gandar a 5, so both came back successfully and unscathed!
