You know what wold be awesome? Beaver mount.Wain wrote: ↑Wed Oct 19, 2022 6:20 am It looks like a load of beaver NPCs have been set tameable on the Beta, including many that have the previously unavailable tan look:
Beavers were notable in that most of them weren't flagged tameable in earlier taming passes. It was presumably just an error they were forgotten until now.
So far I can't see much else that has been flagged (there were a few other things with unavailable looks that I had hopes for), but I'm really happy for these, at least!

Re: Beta 10.0 Beast Thread
Also in the latest Beta build, the orange aura bug no longer plagues tarantulas:
They fixed it by removing alpha channels from all the old skins, which is something I posted about some time ago: the reason it wasn't affecting the new looks was because they were created without alpha transparency masks.
The model still has one remaining Beta bug: the tarantula still lacks hair on its abdomen. Below is a comparison of one of the colours on live, and on the Beta. As you can see, the hairs do affect the look significantly:
Hopefully they'll fix it!

Oh yer, I forgot spiders lost there ranged slow. Haven't used one in so long. Maybe I'll pick up a bright magma tarantula! Pair it with an Ice one for Bm
Any news on how big the veilwings are when tamed? I hope they don't end up like rylaks and become tiny!

I think Veilwings will be the size of a thunder lizard when tamed, big, but not small or too big, cloud serpents were also shrunk to a good size so I know veilwings will also be a good sizeDannyGreen wrote: ↑Wed Oct 19, 2022 2:34 pm Oh yer, I forgot spiders lost there ranged slow. Looks like the Jade Forest Blueback Beavers are still not tameable. Curious if its an oversight, or do they not intend to add the older ones? I know they aren't as HD, but theres plenty examples of that not stopping them.Wain wrote: ↑Wed Oct 19, 2022 6:20 am It looks like a load of beaver NPCs have been set tameable on the Beta, including many that have the previously unavailable tan look:

Re: Beta 10.0 Beast Thread
Yeah, I'm concerned for the Pandaria beavers too. Unpopular opinion, but I prefer the old ones. Not really feeling the overly "bushy" eyebrows on the new one. I know they're scales, but they legit look like thick bushy eyebrows. If anything, the new beaver looks like a Tuskarr druid's "cat" form.

Yea I like the Pandaren beavers better.
Re: Beta 10.0 Beast Thread
Maybe I should add the older ones to the database, if they're good enough. I'll have a look at them!

Re: Beta 10.0 Beast Thread
There's a new tameable tarantula colour in the latest build: the pale one with a red spot, which was the last unavailable colour of the new range. It's definitely my favourite!
The Shifting Spawnling occurs in some caverns high in the mountains north of the Shifting Sands area, so isn't detectable from lower altitudes. Easy to miss!

Chiming in to also claim that the new skin is incredible. Really helps it stand out without being a drastic model change or anything like that.
I'm going to spank that spider booty and nobody will stop me.
