Dire Beast still bugged

Anyone hear anything about them intending to fix Dire Beast? It's still calling vanilla beasts in DF areas half a year into the expansion. Everyone tells me just to glyph it, but the whole reason I love Dire Beast is that it pulls in creatures from the surrounding area. That's its whole point to me.
This happened in BfA too, and it took them absolutely ages to fix it.
