FigurePets Series 3 - Deviate Hatchling

FigurePrints is a company that will create a custom 3D model of your WoW character.

They also sell FigurePets, 3D models of non-combat mini-pets.

I've been waiting and hoping that they open up the possibility of getting a 3D model of a combat pet (with or without the hunter!) but so far that hasn't happened.

However, for the first time they are offering a FigurePet model that looks reasonably like a hunter pet: the Deviate Hatchling in Series 3. It's actually the big-headed purple raptor mini-pet, but if you don't mind the baby-ish look, you can pretend that it's a Deviate Creeper or a Deviate Ravager.

The price is $29.95 or 24,95 €. But if you are considering getting a FigurePet, I'd urge you to get there via the Warcraft Pets page. (I'm not entirely certain that Warcraft Pets is an affiliate as such, but it doesn't hurt to try. And I like to support the other independent WoW sites whenever I can.)

Aww, it's so adorable. x3

I really hope sometime in the future they'll allow hunters to have a pet beside them. Then I might really consider buying a FigurePrint.

If the weren't so insanely expensive for a dustcatcher, I'd already had one.

Yeah, the price is rather discouraging.

Still, it's sort of an awesome way to preserve your character, so I could definitley see myself saving up for one at some point in the future. (only if they bring pets in though ^^)

Agreed, hehe.

Even if they were extremely reasonable, I probably wouldn't get one.

There is the fact to consider that the way these are made is a rather unique and new technology...they're not just crafted from molds, rather they're actually printed out in 3D. That's the bulk reason of the cost. It's understandable, but I don't see why they don't just make resin or plastic models for cheaper...they'd probably sell more overall and therefore get more money in the long run. Plus colours would look much more vibrant.

Still, like I was saying, if in the future they allow you to get both your hunter and a pet alongside I'd surely save up to buy one just for the fact of owning a monument to a character I've dedicated so much time into. :)

I understand 'printing' the characters because there are an awful lot of armor combinations, but printing the mini-pets out does seem very odd to me.

That said, if they ever do any hunter pets at all I will probably snap them up. ;)
