we did it with mages only as priests go oom and mages never do!
literally just run in circles spamming arcane explosion. they respawn as fast as you kill them.

Haha k, thanks. Unfortunately my higher level AOE classes are on another realm so not very helpful to me over here. I do, however, have a lvl 81 resto/kitty druid. I might be able to work something there.

Checked out the ZG location today - very very convenient, as previously stated!
The snakes seem to spawn about 40 at a time (!!), or at least that's what I was averaging per lap of the area.
Mage armor is a must for this.

Using the Toxic Wasteling on the mechanical sheep above SW does not cause it to explode
Since no one's mentioned it, the Chimaera hunter pet has a channeled AOE with no CD that it can use while moving, and it regains the focus before the spell is finished. So you can run around with it anywhere critters are thick on the ground.
If you'd like a more leisurely approach to the achievement, I've made a macro to use in the snake room in ZG:
/target snake
/target [noexists] adder
/target [noexists] moccasin
/target [dead] adder
/target [dead] moccasin
/run SetRaidTarget("target", 6)
/petattack
/cast Froststorm Breath
Line 6 is optional, just puts a raid marker on the pet's target. If you do not have a chimaera, you can use a tenacity pet instead, and replace lines 7 & 8 with /cast Thunderstomp

A few weeks ago i got bored and ran up and down Terrorweb Tunnel in Eastern Plaguelands, it's full of critters, was on a lvl 60 odd priest just spamming Holy Nova. Got about 6k critters in a few hours. Now my guild has no excuses for not fishing and wanting the armadilo pup

I'm gonna have to check this place out I myself farmed in Deeprun Tram where the rats have about a 3 second death before they respawn... but oh it's so boring after awhile X_X
Anyway made a macro, thought I might wanna share it with you guys
This macro makes you automatically target and shoot (or multi-shoot) a nearby Deeprun Rat. If it's behind you or you run past it etc, your pet will kill it for you. It counts when you pet kills one.
You can, of course, modify it to shoot any kind of critter, just replace the Deeprun Rat with the critter you're hunting :3
Hope this helps

Re: Critter Kill Squad: Share your secrets.
Just found a great place to AFK kill some critters if you're lazy and don't want to actively hunt them down (Horde only location though).
At Agmar's Hammer in Dragonblight, there's a test subject in a cage on the southern side. Near the cage are two cockroaches that run around, and they respawn pretty much instantly. If you have the Toxic Wasteling you can just park yourself beside the test subject cage and your minipet will kill them as they spawn. (probably works great with Stormchops too)
Even though there's only two critters, the instant respawn gives you an infinite supply to kill. I've just been sitting here mostly afk and it's doing all the work for me.
