Re: Earthquake in Japan
My mom texted me last night at 11 to let me know there'd been an earthquake and to be prepared for a tsunami in the morning. I know a few coastal regions have been evacuated, just in case, but iirc, the tsunami isn't expected to be more than 3-4ft (at least when it reaches the coast of Washington). ...

Maybe he already had Madexx too, and couldn't find anyone in general chat horde-side to tame it? Dunno, it does seem strange, but there are many reasons why people do strange things (not all of them make sense though XD). Perhaps he was experiencing a.. momentary lapse of reason.

Re: TAMABLE HYDRAS? (patch 4.1 on PTR, no tamables found yet
Oona, I noticed your stable UI actually said "Level 82 Hydra". Did it always say that, or had it previously said "crocolisk"? (I thought they were technically classified as crocolisks. Sorry if this is a dumb question, I've never actually seen the "owner" side of a tame...

Re: TAMABLE HYDRAS? (patch 4.1 on PTR, no tamables found yet
 I know it's not polite to ask for more when we've already been given so much, but I wonder if it's possible that they'll make the ghost hydra tamable again. That would be the ultimate happy for me. Even so, I'd still be completely thrilled with regular tamable hydras. Been waiting for this f...

Not sure if this was mentioned anywhere else (I did a search, but got no results, so I figured I'd post): there are new beetles in Uldum. "Sand-Husk Scarabs" For some reason I couldn't even find them on WoWhead, so maybe I'm missing something here.. Anyway, I took screenshots, they are tam...

Re: Pet/minipet teams
I sort of wish my hunter was my main, simply for the sake of pairing up the mini pets with their combat-capable counterparts, but since all but 2 of the pets I have are on my shaman , I'm thinking it would be a bit too... expensive... to start over. But grats to those of you who are able to get them...

Re: Creatures you've grown to hate?
Pygmies. Vile little buggers.
As for tamable mobs, there's only one skin of monkey I kind of like, but it doesn't come in non-pickaxe-wielding form, so I really don't care for any of them. Or gorillas. They're not cute, cool, or interesting to me in any way. They look and sound... just plain dumb.

Re: First Cata tame! YESSS!
Oooh, grats! I love naming my pets after stars, too. I'm a little aggravated that I can't name my Grim Totem Spirit Guide after Sirius, the dog star (since I don't happen to know of any wolf stars XD); I guess pet names can't contain "sir" or any variation thereof. So, despite my distaste ...

Err, as I recall, there was a thread similar to this a while back.... Many folks couldn't seem to play nicely and the thread got locked. Maybe we should avoid posting subjects similar to this in the future? Just a suggestion, since the last one spiraled out of control.

I was told that fish don't have gag reflexes and will actually eat until they burst. Horrific, but if it's true, it's entirely possible for them to eat themselves to death, literally.

My family had a betta, named Alpha (Har har!) for about 5 years. We kept him in our 80 gallon tank with 5 bala Sharks, 2 juruparis, 2 plecostomus, 3 pink "kissing" gouramis, and a handful of others I can't seem to recall (this was when I was about 9 or 10). Anyway, they all got along amazi...

Re: I think I died a little inside...
It seems like folks are getting a little defensive... Someone was expressing an opinion about someone else's choice, not necessarily judging them for it, and made no attempt to confront the person about it, which, to me, says the OP (Taluwen, iirc?) didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I imagine T...

There are always a bunch of neat piggy skins to choose from :D (Piggies are cute, make cute sounds, and eat almost anything! Which isn't as useful as it once was, with the Mend Pet glyph... But still interesting!). Or you could get a shale spider in Cata, they look pretty spiffy. Crabs may not be as...

Yeah, I can say I kind of do miss this. Especially if you were lucky enough to have a pet that matched your mount. How cool is that?!

I suppose it's not quite the same thing as "ReallyBigBee" but I have a guildie who refused to acknowledge the fact that his firefly was, in fact, a firefly, not a "bee" as he kept calling it. I forget what the pet's name ended up being, but he kept saying "It's a wasp, they'...

I hear they make great pets though, and it sounds like your new babies are already having a good time. Can't wait to see pict...

Re: Okay, character sele -- AAHH MONSTER!
Just to give a little more perspective, this is the two of us standing in Org. I suppose it's not that much different from the character select screen, but I guess it should be taken into account just how small Undead really are. Still, it's not like he's taking up the whole dang screen in this shot...
