My friend picked up this rune(?) which was interesting as stags/deer weren't tameable in Vanilla, I'm curious if there are other additional beast tames or families added, I don't have time to play it myself right now though.

The exploit-tamed owls have been removed from players who used that method, so don't feel like you missed out if you chose not to try it.

I'm not sure if the druid form and the hunter pet items will be tied, but if I go to the barbershop on my druid and preview the flight form, it does list the mount specifically as the source.

I stood next to the swing and waited until other people came around and did the quest, was able to snag one of the spiders, though it was a bit tough if the original person does any AoE. Also if Osthilde dies too quickly she won't spawn them.
