Seriously with these 2 items, his attacks became a non-issue even at level 82 with 40k HP (four seconds is all I could have hoped to last with no resistance). OK after checking my combat log, I have 142 resistance from the Drums and from the elixir. This cut the damage from the Burning Hatred in half! I definitely recommend it for hunters attempting this tame at level 83 or below!

You DO realize a pet doesn't keep a special ability when tamed right?

When tamed, it has all the exact same abilities as every other Dog family pet.

I have seen Bayne around the Undead starting area many times. Hopefully shouldn't be too hard to find him

Yeah... intentional or not, I don't see this as an exploit - back when dual spec cost 1000g I would have viewed it differently, but since the price was slashed, failing to plunk down the measly 100g for dual spec should be seen as more of a minor oversight than a hard limit on your game experience ...

Cata spoiled people with the rares all dropping blues, and yeah some people just won't believe you that they drop only gray items. Hopefully as word gets out it will lessen the rates of "omg rare kill it!"
