Re: The other side of the coin. How our pets may feel...
This is sort of why I ended up scaling down the amount of pets I had intended to tame for 5.3 until I was certain that I only had pets on my list that I truly connected with, so that I would bring them out and not just leave them in the stables. I try to rotate them through as often as possible, but...

Re: Um so.... Any luck with Flare Trackable Rares?
I found Bombyx within ten minutes after the servers came back up (and fell completely in love, he's the cutest thing!). Have seen tracks from a couple of other rares as well. It's probably what Kalliope said; temporarily high competition now that people have more stable space.

Re: FIFTY-FIVE! Show off your new planned stables here!
Decided to give this a whirl as well. I apologize for the long post. I organized the grid slightly differently since I'm easily confused. This is for my Nelf Alastiel. I tend to pick pets with a bluish/white palette for her, with some exceptions. I typically grab the names from various mythol...

Blue all the way. It's the one I tamed, too.
I do like both green and red as well, however.

Re: What do you think about diseased pets?
I find the diseased/zombie models heartbreaking. It looks as though the animals are in so much pain. I would want to heal them or put them out of their misery, but I don't think I could have one with me as a constant companion. That said, I might consider taming them as an undead hunter if I ever pl...

Re: Obligatory "Where are you, rare pets?" Magic Luck Thread
This thread delivers. Madexx and Ghostcrawler in one night! First time I even see Madexx and he's blue! But now that we've hung out a bit,
I'm inclined to say that he's not a he, but a she. So I named my Madexx Selket after the egyptian scorpion goddess.

Re: Obligatory "Where are you, rare pets?" Magic Luck Thread
I feel as though this thread may be my only hope. Please, magic thread, help me find blue Madexx? I've had a name picked out for months and everything. I promise that I'll love him and hug him and kiss him and only feed him the best food available ingame.

Re: If an oil stain is abandoned, does
I very much doubt that Blizzard actually see this particular technique as an exploit. (A visual buff does not give any manner of advantage to the player, after all) They were aware of it pretty much since day one, and if it was something that actually worried them, they would have taken care of it w...

Re: If an oil stain is abandoned, does
They can still be tamed with the old technique (using the alliance quest "Lupus Pupus"). I did it just a few days ago, after the patch that made it impossible to use the petabandon macro. Only took me a few tries. Maybe 10 minutes. It's even a lot easier now, since our tame time has been r...

Re: Pet loyalty
I miss Pet Loyalty a lot. Pet Emote doesn't do it for me, I must say, since a lot of the emotes don't appeal to me for different reasons. Either they don't fit a pet's specific personality the way I imagined it, or in other cases they just seem a tad strange to me. I also don't like the idea of thow...

Re: Which kitty should I level/use?
I personally think that Shadowclaw would suit your hunter perfectly. He gives a very suitably ferocious yet regal impression, and I have not seen that many hunters use him, strangely enough. In my opinion, he would be the perfect choice for an orc. Another alternative I would consider would be Shang...

Oh, fantastic! I'm guessing it stays forever? Since you kill-tamed him, that would seem logical. Good work!

Re: Pet Stable themes
Well, I have a colour theme for my whole stable. I've gone for white, grey, blues and bluish greens. Cold colours, basically. All chosen to match my Nelf Huntress (with silvery white hair and glowing bluish eyes). If a few more skins became available, I could possibly create my ideal stable. :mrgree...

Re: [Guide] Taming the Oiled Hawk!
Now searching for diseased beasts with green effects. I thought about testing the Mutant War Hounds (I think those are the ones) in the Black Temple for that very purpose. But if I remember correctly, I believe they are untameable. I know that there is a lingering poison cloud around them when they...

No need to be so hostile. I went and checked as soon as I had suggested it, and edited my post to reflect my result.Griffley wrote:they both do NOT.
I have checked many many pets.
please stop suggestions without checking.
Also, thank you for doing all this.

Oh, amazing! Great job! Oh, hm... do the Icepaw Bears not keep their visuals in death? I could have sworn they did. Maybe that's something worth trying?
Edit: The bears do not keep their effect in death, unfortunately.

Interesting news! I do hope that the Grey Mastiff becomes tameable elsewhere. It's the one Mastiff variety I really like.

Congratulations! Arcturis is so lovely.
I've had similar experiences, only for me it seems to do the trick to ask in General chat if anyone has seen this or that rare spawn. Always seems to lure them out of hiding. It's like they're listening.

Re: Anyone else miss having our pets trail behind when Mount
Oh, I really, really miss that. Made me so sad when they made the pets disappear upon mounting. I think it was implemented mainly because of the problems Warlocks encountered with pets and flying mounts (since they need Soul Shards to resummon their pets). Still, I do wish that we could have it back...
